Haunted Victorian House

The Philippines is home to many abandoned relics and one building that stands out is the old Diplomat Hotel in Baguio City.  Formerly a convent and seminary, the building was converted into a hotel after World War II.  The building holds a very gory history of violence and torture.  Local legend has it that it is home to hundreds of tortured souls searching for justice from their terrible demise.  
Even with its haunted history, the building itself is a beautiful relic of its once glorious past.  I took a lot of creative license with the dilapidation of the interior.  The building itself is still pretty much intact and if you have the heart of a thrill seeker, I urge you to visit the actual site.

Haunted Space - Abandoned Diplomat Building

An experiment for the [Haunted House challenge](https://blog.sketchfab.com/sketchfab-freeform-challenge-haunted-house/), based on a poster for the horror movie "the Cabin in the Woods".

Each piece of wall was extracted from nice 3D scans (mainly from @shapespeare ([this station](https://skfb.ly/KNz9)), @johngreenstone ([this cabin](https://skfb.ly/6yYDR) and [that one](https://skfb.ly/6yXRs)) and @Mario_Wallner ([prehistoric house](https://skfb.ly/6qJ6w))) and "normalized" to squares before being baked to a simple geometry for the house. The roof-part also comes from the prehistoric house scan.

But [this crow](https://skfb.ly/MJyr) from @cmp_innovation_studio is the real MVP...

The background image was made in GIMP, and lots of post-processing filters helped in giving the final look. This model was made to be a WIP, but I deleted some elements in the process, therefore making it "final"...

Created for Haunted House Challenge and some Halloween fun! Happy Halloween everyone and stay safe this year!

For the past several months, I have been doing research, Finding old HM concept art, discovering long lost lore, and eventually modeling the results to create a new Haunted Mansion dedicated to the Imagineers who brought it to life. Unlike many of the other components of the project, this is not based on an old concept, but is in fact my own addition.  This greenhouse, long abandoned, will be the centerpiece of the mansion's backyard. In it, you can find a variety of flora, from small parasitic buds like the hydnora to larger specimens such as the magnificent corpse flower. The top of the greenhouse is designed to match the conservatory built into MK's Haunted Mansion.

This is my first attempt at using generative flora in Blender, using the built in IvyGen add-on. I originally wanted to use the BagPie Ivy generator which produced a much more filled result and looked amazing, but the result was a 12 million polygon 3.2GB monstrosity so IvyGen appears to be much better for uploading to sketchfab. Enjoy!

Haunted Mansion Project: The Greenhouse

Over 5 years ago I've uploaded a model of an arrow. It was a pretty bad arrow but somehow it scored 2.5k downloads.

Today, during my slumber, one of my Lusatian ancestors haunted my dream.

**AND HE SAID**

> Mikhail, that arrow you made 5 years ago is so awful you made your entire family a laughing stock. Where are the strings? How is it secured? And why is there no space behind the feathers to hold it? How do you want to shot an arrow you can't hold?

And then I realised, I have failed. My absolutely awful fletching skills dishonored my entire ancestral line. 

But no longer.

Today is the day I repent. 

**New arrow.**

Nice 100 triangles, string, smaller resolution texture while still being more detailed, reduced file size.

Oh, and I've reused the feathers, talk about recycling!

Heideltraut is a major antagonist in the 2022 indie horror game The Heilwald Loophole. As the nurse in charge of the sick ward at the ominous Heilwald Klinikum, she presents as a strict, seemingly caring caretaker fiercely protective of her patients. Haunted by her heavy workload and the Klinik’s terrifying experiments, she’s become a wrathful, relentless guardian who pursues intruders with immense strength and thunderous stomps. Though knowledgeable in medicine, her methods are twisted—she’s implied to sedate and neglect patients to keep them quiet rather than heal them. Ollie is the central antagonist of the fan-game Out of the Ink Machine. An uncanny, ink-drenched facsimile of Bendy, he serves as a meta-commentary on toxic nostalgia within the horror community. Known as the "Mischief Maker," he is a narcissistic entity who claims kingship over the studio, manipulating players through 4th-wall-breaking messages and psychological torture.  In the game, he is known for communicating with the player by writing on the walls (e.g., "IN THIS HOUSE, I AM KING") and acting like a "weeping angel," moving only when the player isn't looking. Physically, Ollie is a grotesque, "imperfect" mascot with deep-set realistic eyes and an unsettling, wide grin. He utilizes haunted cardboard cutouts that stalk the player whenever they look away, eventually manifesting in a physical state to hunt them down with aggressive, glitch-like speed.
