La Motilla del Azuer (Daimiel, Spain) is a Bronze Age fortified enclosure built of stone and defended by an outer wall and several intermediate walls. Dating between 2200 and 1500 BC, these walls protect the oldest and most well documented motilla in the Iberian Peninsula. Additionally this site exhibits an impressive funnel-shaped well that is more than 20 meters deep allowing it to reach the aquifer.

Some of the data for this project were originally collected as a joint effort between researchers at the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM), the Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK) and CVAST at the University of South Florida (USF) under the legal permission of Junta de Comunidades de Castilla-La Mancha (Expte. 16.0834-P1. Sistema de documentación 3D del Patrimonio Cultural de Castilla-La Mancha). Data were provided by UCLM and FBK and are now being re-analyzed and re-processed by Global Digital Heritage (GDH).

They usually had a shield - usually an [Adarga](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adarga) - a couple of javelins and a lance, as well as a sword or knife, and on the head a hat, cap or helmet. Contemporary sources depicts them with brigandine or haubergeon, sometime having pieces of leg armour, relatively lightly armoured in respect to heavier Italian counterparts, but more dedicated to a proactive assault role, forerunner of the sword-and-buckler infantry later developed in Spain.

This model has been taken from the Lady of Elche. The Lady of Elche is one of the most representative sculptures of ancient Iberian art. It was discovered in 1897 at the archaeological site of La Alcudia, near the city of Elche. It is a female bust carved in limestone, dated to around the 4th century BC, notable for its detailed headdress that frames the face with large lateral coils. The figure also wears complex necklaces and ornaments that reflect the high artistic level of Iberian culture. Das Fundstück ist 23 cm lang und misst an der breitesten Stelle 7,4 cm. Es handelt sich um das bislang erste nachgewiesene Exemplar einer Defrutumpfanne nördlich der Alpen. Der Fund stammt aus dem Bereich des augusteisch-tiberischen Truppenplatzes Novaesium.

**Roman lead defrutum pan** (1st century AD), found in Neuss.
The object is 23 cm long and measures 7.4 cm at its widest point. It represents the first securely attested example of a defrutum pan north of the Alps. The find comes from the area of the Augustan–Tiberian military site of Novaesium.
