Les Maisons sur l’Agout ont valu à Castres le surnom de « petite Venise du Languedoc ». Leurs reflets aux couleurs pastel scintillent sur la rivière. 

Situées rue Milhau Ducommun, le long de la rivière Agout, ces maisons sont reconnaissables à leurs couleurs et leurs façades à encorbellement avec pan de bois.

La Venise du Languedoc, Castres (81)

The collection of the Art Department at the Tatra Museum in Zakopane includes two cameras belonging to Mieczysław Karłowicz – an outstanding composer, unsurpassed mountaineer, skier and photographer.  The composer purchased the presented object in 1909 after the success of his symphonic poem Odwieczne pieśni (Eternal songs) at the Warsaw Philharmonic. 
The composer’s new photographic equipment is a so-called travel camera for 13x18 cm film. The camera weighed less than 2 kilograms, and the bellows with the front standard and the lens were supported on two rails and thus, when folded, the whole set did not take up a lot of space (23 x 21.5 x 7 cm).

Ilha Porchat

LiDAR-based 3D documentation of a Muslim tombstone from the Ottoman-era cemetery of the Hala Sultan Tekke (Mosque of Umm Haram), on the shores of the Larnaca Salt Lake, Cyprus.

One of the most significant Islamic pilgrimage sites in the Mediterranean, the tekke is built around the tomb of Umm Haram bint Milhan, a companion of the Prophet Muhammad who died in Cyprus during the Arab raids of 647-649 CE. The mosque was completed in 1817 during Ottoman rule. The adjacent cemetery, closed to burials around 1899, contains the tombs of Ottoman administrators; its tombstones reflect the funerary epigraphy of Ottoman Cyprus. The site is on the UNESCO Tentative World Heritage List.

Bonequinho da linha Gogo’s, originalmente da série Gogo’s Crazy Bones Futebol, em versão digitalizada por um scanner. A peça tem forma de um personagem estilizado, com cabeça grande em formato de uma bola em chamas, corpo pequeno e acabamento plástico brilhante. É de um objeto físico capturado em 3D, com cores suavizadas e aparência lisa, mas um pouco sem detalhes e formas bem definidas por conta da digitalização.

O material renderizado busca representar da melhor maneira possível o modelo original — um pequeno boneco branco que reflete pontos de luz em partes de seu corpo. A representação de como a luz se comporta está bem próxima de como é no modelo orginalmente escaneado e digitalizado.

Polychrome vase (black, red, and orange on a cream background) with slightly convergent walls and flat base. It features the Primary Standard Sequence framed in red. On the exterior wall, inclined decorative bands with circular elements and volutes appear against a black background, along with interlaced elements outlined in red, which have been interpreted as representations of “bones” (Nicholas Hellmuth, pers. comm.). NAA indicates the western portion of the Belize River Valley (Buenavista area) as the place of origin or manufacture; however, this is a style frequently associated with Pusilhá, Belize (Barbara Kerr, pers. comm.).

A Volta Grande do Xingu localiza-se no médio curso do rio Xingu, no estado do Pará. Seu traçado singular é marcado por três grandes curvas sucessivas e por uma rede de canais, ilhas, corredeiras e pedrais. 

A Volta Grande do Xingu está situada no Cráton Amazônico, uma extensa área formada por rochas cristalinas muito antigas do Pré-Cambriano. Granitos, gnaisses e outras rochas resistentes afloram ao longo do rio e controlam seu curso e a paisagem ao redor. Mais a jusante, no baixo Xingu, predominam sedimentos mais recentes da Bacia Amazônica, e o rio forma um grande lago até seu encontro com o Rio Amazonas.
