[FREE] City Road Layout Mockup

This is a preview of Cartoon Style Race track, designed for cartoon cars in my Retro Cartoon Car collection.

It supports oval racing and many different layout options. There are 20 garages, main starting grid and possibility to set up secondary grid for more track configurations.

**Virtual Cities** started as an exhibition art piece with the aim of combining physical space with virtual reality. We assembled foam blocks within a room, mimicking an abstract simplified cityscape, which was then painted over in virtual reality using tilt brush. The result is a piece of art which attempts to transcend media. 

Visitors can put on the headset and navigate through the real space, but see an augmented version of the block layout.

The McLaren P1 is a supercar produced by British marque McLaren Automotive. It is a plug-in hybrid with a mid-engine layout. It was first shown at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, with sales of the P1 beginning in the United Kingdom in October 2013 and all of the limited run of 375 units sold by November 2013. Production ended in early December 2015.

The P1 features a 3.8 L; 231.8 cu in (3,799 cc) twin-turbocharged V8 engine. The twin turbos boost the petrol engine at 1.4 bar (20.3 psi) to deliver 542 kW (737 PS; 727 hp) at 7,500 rpm and 531 lb⋅ft (720 N⋅m) of torque at 4,000 rpm, combined with an in-house-developed electric motor producing  a combined power output of 674 kW (916 PS; 903 hp) and 900 N⋅m (664 lb⋅ft) of torque.

And not to mention my favourite car of all time.

This is a detailed 3D model of a traditional Beijing Siheyuan, the iconic courtyard residence known for its classical Chinese architecture. A siheyuan is a type of dwelling commonly found throughout China, especially in Beijing and rural Shanxi. Throughout Chinese history, this layout was the foundational pattern for residences, palaces, temples, monasteries, family businesses, and government offices.

# Process

* The initial mesh was remeshed to an intermediate object with Meshlab (quadric edge collapse decimation) and **mmgs** (6.8M -> 950k tris)
* Details (ropes and sword) were splitted from the horse body (mark sharp edges -> edge split -> separate), and batch remeshed for better results.
* The resulting meshes (70k tris total) were then manually unwrapped (+manifold edges seams) and merged.

# Material

The material was created from scratch on the high resolution object before being baked to 2K textures:

* Bronze patina on the top
* Mix of metals on the body
* Smoother metal on the edges

A red-brick apartment building built in the 1960s.

The 45-square-meter American-style apartment centers on cozy practicality, blending classic elements with modern design. An open layout breaks spatial constraints, while the integrated living-dining-kitchen area enhances a sense of spaciousness, complemented by natural tones like soft grays and creamy whites to create a comfortable ambiance. Solid wood furniture and linen/cotton textiles convey rustic charm, with accents like wrought iron pendant lights and vintage-inspired artwork adding nostalgic American flair. Glass partitions and hidden storage maximize vertical space efficiency, while simplified moldings and distressed finishes balance historical character with compact living needs. Ideal for singles or couples, it crafts a functional yet romantic mini-haven embodying the essence of Americana.

Red House

Model created for a game mod. Due to engine limitations, everything needed to be contained into a single texture set, hence the texture atlas layout. 

The model isn't really supposed to be 'photorealistic', as I wanted it to match the detail level and overall look of the game it was meant for. Still it might look good under some proper lightining and with some PBR materials. 

Feel free to use it for anything, be it renders, animations or other game mods.

Milan's layout, with streets either radiating from the Duomo or circling it, reveals that the Duomo occupies what was the most central site in Roman Mediolanum, that of the public basilica facing the forum. The first cathedral, the "new basilica" (basilica nova) dedicated to St Thecla, was completed by 355. It seems to share, on a slightly smaller scale, the plan of the contemporaneous church recently rediscovered beneath Tower Hill in London. An adjoining basilica was erected in 836. The old octagonal baptistery, the Battistero Paleocristiano, dates to 335 and still can be visited under the Cathedral. When a fire damaged the cathedral and basilica in 1075, they were rebuilt as the Duomo.

The Black Pearl

The goal of this project was to create a small asset pack that coule be placed within 3 environments. They were to be general enough to work outdoors on or indoors. The props would not be interacted with and the player will not be focused on investigating them too closely. These props would also have served the purpose to provide level blocking and layout, since they are large enough to affect navigation.

The assets would be considered lower detail background models. All assets should be included as one asset, they should all share the same material and texture set, one material and UV channel, with a texture resolution of 2048x2048 and a mostly uniform texel density and under 5000 vertices. Assets were to be textured using a PBR workflow with a packed texture (ARM), created with modular design in mind and appropriate real-world scale (centimeters).

While I did not end up getting an offer for this position, I believe that these assets turned out very well!

This is my final project for my Portfolio 4 class at Full Sail University. This month I worked in Maya 2017, Photoshop, and Substance Painter. I learned a lot more about what it means to have optimal UV layout and what works best for Substance! For Presentation, I had to work with Photoshop, Sketchfab, and Artstation.
