Imported my old cathedral build and updated it with new blocks, new building techniques, and new surroundings. It was a self-challenge to see how realistic I can make it using only blocks/textures/techniques available in vanilla minecraft. The map was made on a 1.8 build server but packed & uploaded in 1.12.

Had to remove some features from the map during export due to technical difficulties, so it's better to check out the map ingame if you can. The lightmap res is pretty small for each block due to the number of blocks in the whole scene.

Some low-poly buildings made in lazy way, was made for a mass cityscape in background, now has a night version.

My goal is to make a set of low-poly buildings with 200-300 faces, but still has a decent realistic with some lighting and little post processing.
Since I can only have 3 light on the sketchfab editor, the scene may looks not that good.

Low-poly City Night

This is a project I have been working on for the last few months. I tried many new techniques and I feel like it tops my last model by a lot. I have decided to give this model away for free so everyone can enjoy it.

The model was created in Blender 2.93 and the interior was textured in substance painter. The interior can be changed into 4 different colors. Tan (what it is currently), Black, Blue, and Brown. Ankh-khonsu was a doorkeeper in the Temple of Amun-Re at Karnak. He inherited his position from his father Ankh-en-amun. His brightly painted coffin lid is covered with images of protective deities. Particularly prominent are winged scarab (dung) beetles, symbols of rebirth. One sits on Ankh-khonsu’s head and encircles his face with its wings. A second scarab covers his chest. Both scarabs hold a shen hieroglyph, symbol of eternity, with their hind legs in place of a dung ball. Offering spells including Ankhkhonsu’s name are written on the outside of his coffin. Traces of resins (now black) and water poured over it during his funeral are visible on the top and sides of the coffin.

this is a very lazy model overall, but I feel like I should've disclosed this earlier: the texture is partially AI, specifically AI inpainted to remove the hand holding the rat in the original photo. This was done with some free stable diffusion service on huggingface website.

1-3 The lshtar Gate in Babylon Nebuchadnezar (604-562 BC), the King of Babylon, started a series of ambitious building projects including the richly decorated lshtar Gate. A long processional avenue linked the sacred gate to the temple of the city god Marduk and his famous temple tower, known from the Bible as the Tower of  Babel. The facades of the lshtar Gate were decorated with reliefs in glazed tile, representing a dragon, Marduk's emblem, and a bull symbolising the weather god Adad. The processional route away
from the city was decorated with lions, the animals of Ishtar, goddess of love and war, They were to guard against advancing enemies, as is indicated by
the name ofthe gateway: Ishtar conquers its enemy.
