La información contenida en las anotaciones recoge los resultados de las investigaciones llevadas a cabo por Teresa Delgado, Javier Velasco y Verónica Alberto en el marco del proyecto **«Momias. Biografías en 3D»** desarrollado por El Museo Canario.

El modelo corresponde a una momia de mujer mayor de 50 años, datada entre el 670-675 d.C. Fue recuperada en una cueva funeraria colectiva de Acusa (Artenara) en la década de 1930. Today, there are over 20 branches across the city of Baltimore, including several mobile libraries. Built in 1916, Branch No. 18 is located in the Clifton community. While normally open, the library is currently closed for building maintenance.

15th century wall tomb in the north wall of the chancel of Strade Dominican Friary (MA070-067001-), Co. Mayo.  Described by archaeologist, John Hunt as; 'a gabled tomb niche, with an elaborate flamboyant traceried canopy. Below this, forming a tomb-front, are two panels boldly carved with decorated ogival niches beneath elaborate foliated crocketing and pinnacle work. In the first three of these are represented the Three Kings of the East, Caspar, Melchior & Balthazar, crowned & bearing their gifts of gold, frankincense & myrrh. In the fourth niche is Christ, King and Judge. In the second panel, the ogee heads are treated as a single canopy, the pinnacles being supported on corbels carved as worshipping angels issuant from clouds with wings displayed. Under this arcading are disposed four figures. The dexter, presumably the donor or commemorated man.   The other three figures, represent an archbishop with cross-staff in the act of blessing, St Peter with two keys & a book, & St Paul with a sword & a book'.

"Molly Malone" (Roud 16932; also known as "Cockles and Mussels" or "In Dublin's Fair City") is a song set in Dublin, Ireland, which has become the city's unofficial anthem.

A statue representing Molly Malone, designed by Dublin artist Jeanne Rynhart, was unveiled on Grafton Street during the 1988 Dublin Millennium celebrations by then Lord Mayor of Dublin, Ben Briscoe. In July 2014, the statue was relocated to Suffolk Street, in front of the Tourist Information Office, to make way for Luas track-laying work at the old location.

Object: The Lawler Sphinx Monument

Historical Significance:
Erected to honor Matthew Lawler (former Mayor of Philadelphia) and his wife Ann, this Egyptian Revival sphinx caused massive controversy. The cemetery's Christian directors initially objected to the "pagan" iconography. It was eventually permitted and became one of Spring Grove's most famous monuments.

**Preservation Status (Critical)**
While appearing resolute from a distance, this model documents severe, rapid structural failure. The stone survived its first 150 years well, but recent freeze-thaw cycles have devastated it. Massive mechanical cracks splitting the torso have been patched with modern sealants that are already failing. Furthermore, the extensive historical inscriptions on the base are actively sugaring and nearly impossible to read. This "Digital Twin" preserves the text and geometry before the next fracture.

Lawler Sphinx: Decay of Egyptian Revival (1850)

Tinaja proveniente de la excavación del Castillejo de Los Güajares (Güajar Farauit). Presenta una tipología troncocónica con labio recto y borde exvasado ligeramente entrante, decorado con una cenefa de formas geométricas. El diámetro del borde son 20cm. El cuello presenta tres cenefas decorativas estampilladas separadas entre si. La primera y de mayor tamaño presenta como decoración motivos estampillados vegetales y la caracterísitca Mano de Fátima. Las otras dos cintas decorativas tienen motivos florales, cada uno de ellos en el interior de un motivo romboidal.

Located in the northern wall of the chancel of Strade Dominican Priory (MA070-067001-), Co. Mayo. This 15th-century wall monument is one of the finest surviving examples of its type in Ireland. At the base of the arch on the western side is a carving of a lion with tail between its legs,  rising above the body of the animal where it ends in a bushy tail.  In medieval Christianity, the lion was a complex, dual-natured symbol, primarily representing Christ’s power, resurrection, and royal authority but also, paradoxically, the danger of the devil or fierce, untamed power. Bestiaries popularized myths about lions resurrecting cubs, mirroring Christ's resurrection.  Lions were thought to sleep with eyes open, symbolizing Christ’s ever-watchful nature and divinity during his human death on the cross. Lions were frequently carved on church portals to represent protectors, guarding sacred spaces or representing Christ’s triumph over evil. One of five floriated tapered graveslabs set upright against the internal face of the south wall of the chancel of Strade Dominican Friary (MA070-067001-), Co. Mayo. Broken tapered cross-slab grave-cover which served as the lid of a stone coffin/sarcophagus.  Only the lower half of a cross-fleury carved in low relief with raised border running along edge of the stone.  The base of the cross has a fleur-de-lis or lily flower terminal consisting of acentral teardrop shaped projection flanked on either side by curling leaves. Vertical line in central teardrop may represent the stamen of the flower head.  Vertical groove running along centre of cross-shaft.  Floriated cross possibly symbolising the flowering lily known in French as the Fleur-de-Lys/Flower of the Lily.  The lily, is a  symbol of the Virgin Mary often appearing in art representing the Annunciation.  Associated with Resurrection & Easter & the triumph of Christ over death. Male kneeling donor figure to left of Pieta on front or altar reredos dating from the second half of the 15th century, standing up against the internal face of the eastern wall of the chancel of Strade Dominican Friary (MA070-067001-), Co. Mayo.  Described by archaeologist John Hunt as; 'The man has a similar costume to that worn by the bearded man on the tomb-front of the wall monument in the northern wall of the chancel.  The gole, however, is cut square below though the method of fashioning the garment is similar with the seams of the four sections of the front carefully indicated. The buttons closing the side placket of the gown and the belt with its pendant end are similar, and here also the rosary and the shuttle-like object hang from it'. Situado en jardines de entrada del Servicio de Investigación Agraria, dependiente de la Diputación General de Aragón.
El Ingeniero Agrónomo Manuel Rodríguez Ayuso fue, de 1891 a 1908, Director de la "Granja Experimental de Zaragoza", creada en 1881. No sólo realizó una excelente labor divulgativa de las tareas científicas de La Granja, sino que su empeño desembocó, en 1894, en la instalación de la primera fábrica de azúcar en la región (La Azucarera de Aragón), habiendo sido también, gracias a sus trabajos en el Campo Experimental anexo a La Granja y a la insistencia de sus ingenieros, el introductor de la remolacha azucarera y la fabricación de azúcar en Aragón, que fue una realidad en escasos años, llegando a ser la región española más productora.

Purchased in 1967 from London tailors, Ede and Ravenscroft Ltd, these Parramatta Mayoral robes were the second set purchased in Council’s history [insert hyperlink to Parramatta Mayors on website].  Red with a black facing and trimmed fur they were worn with a lace jabot and the Chain of Office.  The chains were commissioned from Angus and Coote in Sydney.
The wearing of robes is an English tradition dating back to the 1300s and it is reasonably common for Australian Mayors and Lord Mayors to wear them at formal functions over their normal clothes.  However, it is an individual choice and not consistently adopted across Local Government in Australia.  
The regalia generally consists of a set of robes, chains of office and a hat.  There is no standard colour for mayoral robes but common colours are black, purple, blue, red and gold.  The hat can be bicorne or tricorne with some form of gold embellishment and feathers.
