Submerged Era

"Bayard Station was once the headquarters for the Chesapeake Gas Company of Baltimore City, which merged with several other companies eventually becoming BGE. During the station’s heyday, the gas works spread over 14 acres. The complex included the Valve House; four large telescoping holding tanks, called “gasometers;” and a series of processing buildings, of which one remains today across Hamburg Street. The gas was manufactured, stored in the gasometers, and then piped into the valve house where it was compressed before being directed into the main lines of the city."

Today, this building is home to an architectural salvage company called [Housewerks](https://housewerkssalvage.com/pages/about-us). Since they purchased the building in 2005, they have worked to preserve the structure and have placed it on the National Register of Historic Places.

**Modeling**:

* The scan was remeshed with [mmgs](http://mmgtools.org) from 500k verts to 7k, keeping the face and hands at a higher resolution.
* The ocean surface and ground were created with blender's ocean modifier.
* Light shafts are simply a randomized array of elongated planes.
* The fish is a lowpoly model ( a 30s model ).
* A particle system was created for fish instances, with force fields applied (boids physics, vortex, attraction force and collision on the statue)

**Texturing/lighting**:

* Mix of concrete and coral on the statue
* Sand on the ground
* Nothing on the sea surface
* Radial opacity for ground and surface
* Voronoi textures baked as emission on the statue and the ground, to simulate the light deformation through water
* Lots of color processing

# Process

* The initial mesh was remeshed to an intermediate object with Meshlab (quadric edge collapse decimation) and **mmgs** (6.8M -> 950k tris)
* Details (ropes and sword) were splitted from the horse body (mark sharp edges -> edge split -> separate), and batch remeshed for better results.
* The resulting meshes (70k tris total) were then manually unwrapped (+manifold edges seams) and merged.

# Material

The material was created from scratch on the high resolution object before being baked to 2K textures:

* Bronze patina on the top
* Mix of metals on the body
* Smoother metal on the edges

Hello there,
This is the 3rd project I did for school. We had to do a ''Halloween gauntlet'' and I choose the Daedric gauntlet from Skyrim. (Fan Art)
The geo must be between 7000-10 000 faces & one merged mesh only

I also use this gauntlet to do the 4th school project witch was to texture a prop.

This is a modified version of the Avali 1.3 model available on the Avali Army Discord server. Credit for the base model goes to FlowerBunny, Snerfoil, Kristaph, Dashi, and possibly more people.

The model has been changed in these ways:

* All materials have been merged into one, including textures and UVs. This improves performance significantly compared to the original 1.3 model which had 17 materials

* The material type has been changed to be a Quest-compatible material, but it still looks good on PC. As such, all shader files available in the Avali Army 1.3 model has been removed.

Subway

The Prison - game ready exterior scene, the scene is composed of the separate models, that are not merged, you can replace some with your own models or use them somewhere else.

  Windows glasses of the main building have two independent groups of material ID's, so that different materials could be used on them, to make, for example, some windows emissive for the night scenes

The Prison

The Ohio class of nuclear-powered submarines includes the United States Navy's 14 ballistic missile submarines (SSBNs) and its four cruise missile submarines (SSGNs). Each displacing 18,750 tons submerged, the Ohio-class boats are the largest submarines ever built for the U.S. Navy.

Model is quite low poly becouse of it’s game asset orgins.

Yep, another minecraft model merged in Blockbench. This time, the sheep model merged with it's wool model.

This is all that remains of *SS Rifle*, one of the earliest surviving examples of a small pre-fabricated screw steamer in the British Isles. *Rifle* was purchased by the Locheil Estate in the 1860s for use on Loch Arkaig, ferrying goods, passengers and mail between the isolated dwellings around the loch. 

As well as being a practical vessel, *Rifle* was also used for pleasure, often carrying shooting parties. 

The boat was laid-up in the 1930s, and whilst being scrapped, sank and lay buried until removed by the army after becoming a hazard to wartime vessels working from the pier. *Rifle* was blasted away from the pier, losing the bow in the process. 

Despite being submerged for over half a century, it was raised in 1990. Although in a very fragile condition, *Rifle's* propeller is a well-preserved example of an early design. 

The model was created as a part of ‘Scanning The Horizon’ 3D digitisation project.

Hospital Save Room

The Laarne Castle is a castle located in the Belgian municipality of Laarne. A wooden post structure was built around 1200. Shortly thereafter, the land was elevated, and a new, more solid structure was constructed. It was not until around 1300 that the first stone building was constructed, from which the current watchtower later emerged. Then, in less than a century and a half, the castle area evolved into the current castle with moats.

Mannequin Factory

Plaque from the 16th century with the depiction of the Dance of Death. The plaque cast in silver has 2 fastening pins on the back. 21x4 cm.

Between 1410 and 1425, a mural with originally 30 and today still 24 dancing couples was created in the abbey of La Chaise-Dieu. The Dance of Death is the representation of the influence and power of death that emerged in the 14th century. Death dances with everyone, whether king, knight, maid, clergyman or child.

DeLorean DMC-12 Back To The Future Time Machine

When director Robert Zemeckis and Robert Gale conceived of the first film, the DeLorean was cast, in part, because the car’s gullwing doors made it look like an alien spaceship.  Over the course of the two sequels, the Time Machine eventually emerged as a character of its own, undergoing progressive transformation due to its time travel experiences.  Three visually distinct DeLoreans were created for the trilogy, however, this is the only example to appear in all three films.
