This is a photogrammetry of the remains of the Kannonzaki Battery No. 3 in Yokosuka City, Japan.
The site of a gun battery and the brick tunnel remain in Kannonzaki Park.
Two howitzers were installed in the mortar-shaped turret.

I attached a 20mm prime lens and a clip-on flash to a Sony A1 on a tripod and took 650 photos. The photos were taken on a lightly cloudy day, and the tunnel lighting and de-lighting the outside of the tunnel was done using flash light.

Maddoxtown Church ruin not far from Kilkenny along the old road to Bennettsbridge. It's not exactly in a great state. It is a small single-cell church building (no differentiation between chancel and nave), which seems to have been built using earth mortar construction with a lime mortar pointing and rendering. The earth mortar is exposed at the breach in the west gable. Only one window survives in the south wall. The south wall also has a buttress at its west end, the buttress on the north wall seems to have been collapsed, judging from the heap of stones there. The church was already a ruin at the time of the Down Survey (1650s).

There is also a beautifully carved baptismal font of the Ossory type still surviving in the graveyard (repaired). Worth a visit.

BOTHAN (pronounced Buh!-Hawn) is a word to decsriube a simple shelter in Galeic and often used for housing animals and at times poor families. They were simple stione buildingd often with one room annd no windows. The walls were supported by clay mortar and occassionally lined with dry cow pat. The floor was ofetn earthen or at most flag stone and hay.
