quick test of process for work (quick low poly mesh in Maya. painted diffuse, bump and specular in mudbox. add some tail feather quad one offs back in Maya. applied co-workers rig. keyed some quick animation ideas. imported into Unity3D to see about layering animation clips). Seems to work. so. now i'm exhausted and don't feel like fixing any part of it. probably move on to next bird and try to put a little more polish into each step. feel like this is about C-grade. shrug.

Crystal Palace Sphinx

Found an interesting picture of an axe-head dating from the Koban Period (Late Bronze Age). This is my attempt to try and recreate it and have it brough back to life. This is not 100% historically accurate as i had a rough template of the geometry of the axe and some visual bits in terms of the engravings.

First time 3D modeling kinda nervy... Wanted to practice male anatomy, I put a bit more emphizes into the body of the model, rather than the face, hands and feet. 

I added the vitiligo to the skin, and made the hair green with a scale like texture to mimic the spots and texture of snake skin.
