***Forged by a vindictive and cruel necromancer**, the foul greatsword Soulsucker steals the souls of any who would dare to battle its wielder and lose. The damned leave their imprints behind, and if you listen closely you might hear faint screaming echo through the weapon.*

Inspired by the WoW Lich King look and the necromantic aesthetic overall. I always imagine a grumpy troll necromancer wielding this weapon after getting bored of just raising zombies to get into the action themselves.

Soulsucker - Weaponcraft

The coffin ensemble of Taditjaina consists of an outer coffin (inventory no. 150a; approx. 76 x 193 x 73 cm) and an inner one (inventory no. 150b; approx. 43 x 173 x 48 cm). They are possibly from the Theban necropolis, and date back to the beginning of the 26th Dynasty (approx. 664–525 B.C.). Both coffins perfectly fit into one another. The two coffins and the mummy of lady Taditjaina were a gift to the Württembergian royal house from the German consul to Alexandria, Mr. von Dumreicher, between 1820 and 1830. They were later given to the University of Tübingen in 1911. The wooden coffins are white stuccoed, and have polychrome scenes, painted red, black, blue, dark green and yellow. The inscriptions of the coffins contain various scenes and texts from the ancient Egyptian Book of the Dead—a guide for the afterlife. The texts should guarantee the continued existence and provision of Taditjaina, the lady of the house, the noble one, in the Netherworld.

Occult books

This is a partial scan of the cemetary in Igualada, which was designed by Enric Miralles and Carme Pinos. Miralles himself died only a few years after the completion of the cemetary and is buried there.

The space captured is a kind of chapel that sits above the necropolis. It is adjacent to the cemetary's crematorium, which is now out of use.

The capture was assembled out of about a thousand photos taken with a Google Pixel 2 XL. The large gap in light levels between the exterior shots and the depths of the interior made this one difficult to capture well.

Igualada Cemetery: Chapel

Half a skull from the Neolithic Necropolis of Escoural Cave, one of the most iconic monuments of the of Montemor-o-Novo’s region, in Portugal, being widely recognized for the presence of Paleolithic rock art (paintings and engravings). The burials in this necropolis were covered by a mantle of calcite that can still be seen in part of this skull. The burials were accompanied by votive ceramics pieces.

This piece is currently on display at the Museum of S. Domingos, in Montemor-o-Novo.

Necronomicon

A sacrificial altar dating to the 3rd–4th centuries AD was discovered during excavations of the necropolis associated with the Belinskoe hillfort. In close proximity to the altar, a burial chamber with a short dromos was recorded, along with remnants of a ritual commemoration feast (trishna) and associated 4th‑century AD artefacts.

Se trata de una escultura ibérica esculpida en piedra caliza procedente del yacimiento ubicado en Arjona, en la provincia de Jaén. Su datación se ha aproximado al S.IV a.C, en la fase plena de la Edad del Hierro.
La escultura figura a un todo de pie con la cabeza mirando al frente. Los detalles de esta escultura muestran el gran dominio técnico. Estos detalles, como la testuz asimilan el ondulado del pelo son una talla fina. Además, es una pieza que ejemplifica este proceso de orientalización por parte de las influencias griegas y fenicias.
Las esculturas de animales y de algunas criaturas míticas se han asociado en la cosmogonía ibérica con una significación funeraria. En la cultura ibérica el Toro se ha asociado a la vida y la fecundidad. Se piensa que estos animales, míticos o no, acompañaban a los difuntos en su muerte hacia dónde lleva el traspaso de la muerte. Se ubican en necrópolis ibéricas, sobre todo en los siglos VI y IV a. C.
