The noses are still bothering me, and I fear I'll have to include a manual step in my scripted workflow to keep more geometry on the face than on the body.

1500 triangles models, 1024px albedo and normal maps. The model materials are from front to back: 

1. albedo + normal map
2. normal map only
3. smoothed normals (no albedo, no normal map)
4. flat shaded

WIP - Lowpoly People - 2

The Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-23 is a variable-geometry fighter aircraft, designed by the Mikoyan-Gurevich design bureau in the Soviet Union. It is a third-generation jet fighter, the world's most-produced variable-geometry aircraft, along with similar Soviet fighters such as the Su-15 "Flagon". It was the first Soviet fighter to field a look-down/shoot-down radar and one of the first to be armed with beyond visual range missiles. Production started in 1970 and reached large numbers with over 5,000 aircraft built. Today the MiG-23 remains in limited service with some export customers.

The basic design was also used as the basis for the Mikoyan MiG-27, a dedicated ground-attack variant. Among many minor changes, the MiG-27 replaced the MiG-23's nose-mounted radar system with an optical panel holding a laser designator and a TV camera.

Each model is made of 1500 triangles, and has its origin located on the ground plane. Obviously, scans with multiple people have a lower precision.

I removed the textures to keep the faces as flat shaded, as this is the step I'm currently thinking about: geometry.
In particular, how to keep the characters nose - otherwise the face feels too flat - while remeshing in my (automated) workflow.

This could be done by specifying, with just one manual intervention (but not automated anymore!), the face as a zone of higher resolution and giving this input as a metric to [mmgs](http://mmgtools.org). Will think about it...

Orbiter Space Shuttle OV-103 Discovery

This Stegosaurus skeleton from the Denver Museum of Nature & Science is more than 26 feet long and over nine feet tall. The bony beast is a permanent display with steel shaped around it, welded in place, and puttied together, making it impossible to take apart. Which means it was super difficult to scan! Triebold Paleontology, Inc. scanned the dinosaur using Artec Space Spider and Artec Studio software. The scanning involved crawling into the rib cage, then perching atop a step ladder just to reach the peaks of the big fan-shaped plates on the dinosaur’s back. The scanner captured everything from the nose to the tail spikes. Beyond aligning the scans, Artec Studio also reduced the mesh size to the desired level for manipulating the 3D model and 3D printing. Scanning time: 1 week - Processing time: 2 months (629 individual scans across 71 scan projects).

Stegosaurus Skeleton

DogDay is an anthropomorphic orange-furred dog with black eyes, floppy ears, a black nose, and a yellow outer mouth and belly. His paws and ears, along with the left side of his face, have a copper-red color. Similar to the other Smiling Critters, DogDay is depicted with a wide toothless grin (the inner mouth shrouded in darkness), and he possesses a black zipper line running down his center, with the zipper sporting a gold sun pendant with orange sun rays.

DogDay’s cartoon appearance is roughly the same as his toy appearance, albeit with his zipper line removed, the addition of white pupils, and the zipper pendant now attached to a black necklace.

I got bored, so here's a Minecraft Villager model I've been messing around with. Even fixed the robe (it's like 2 pixels too short, making the texture just cut off all of a sudden).
I also mixed both textures into one, for multiple reasons.
1. If it's just the main villager texture, it looks incredibly inappropriate.
2. It's more efficient.
Straight from the plains biome, it's even got the nose.
First model that I published using Blockbench, only made drafts for the others. I highly recommend using Blockbench, especially if you know how to use Blender.

Minecraft Villager

This is a 3D model of a female Bottlenose dolphin (“Poli”) from Honduras (Tursiops truncatus) which was re-created from photographs and other information provided by the staff at the Roatan Institute for Marine Sciences (RIMS) at Anthony’s Key Resort in Roatan, Honduras.  Mass is 147 kg; Total length (TL) is 241 cm.

CG artists Johnson Martin and Robert Gutierrez reconstructed this individual dolphin from photographs and other information using the open-access software Blender.

A recent practice i did to improve the eyes and the nose, you can download it and study it if you do so leave a like and a follow it's free and really helps.

Realistic Male head

Eevee is a small, mammalian, quadrupedal Pokémon with primarily brown fur. The tip of its bushy tail and its large furry collar are cream-colored. It has short, slender legs with three small toes and a pink paw pad on each foot. Eevee has brown eyes, long pointed ears with dark brown interiors, and a small black nose.

In Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee!, the player starts with a special Eevee known as the partner Eevee. The partner Eevee has purple eyes and a lighter shade of fur. These design elements were likely taken from the anime, which implemented similar traits starting in Pokémon the Series: Ruby and Sapphire. The partner Eevee has higher base stats and access to moves that normal Eevee do not. The marking on the tip of a female partner Eevee's tail is flower-shaped. Before Pokémon Sword and Shield, this trait was unique and wasn't found on other female Eevee.

THE CAT'S BODY

San Lorenzo Colossal Head 6 is one of the smaller examples of colossal heads, standing 1.67 metres. It measures 1.41 metres wide by 1.26 metres deep and is estimated to weigh between 8 and 10 tons. The head was discovered by a farmworker and was excavated in 1965 by Luis Aveleyra and Román Piña Chan. It is sculpted with a net-like head covering joined together with sculpted beads. A covering descends from under the headdress to cover the back half of the neck. The headband is divided into four strips and begins above the right ear, extending around the entire head. A short strap descends from either side of the head to the ear. The ear ornaments are complex and are larger at the front of the ear than at the back. The face is that of an ageing male with the forehead creased in a frown, wrinkles under the eyes, sagging cheeks and deep creases on either side of the nose.

The Mil Mi-28 (NATO reporting name "Havoc") is a Russian all-weather, day-night, military tandem, two-seat anti-armor attack helicopter. It is a dedicated attack helicopter with no intended secondary transport capability, better optimized than the Mil Mi-24 gunship for the role. It carries a single gun in an undernose barbette, plus external loads carried on pylons beneath stub wings.

Stylosaurus lived in the late Cretaceous. It is a kind of dinosaur of chordate, vertebrate, Sauropoda, amphoraceae, ornithoraceae, stylosaurus. It is about 2.4 meters long and 1 meter high. It is similar to wild goat in shape and habits. It is a mysterious dinosaur decorated with highly developed bone plates and spines on the top, back and mouth and nose of the dinosaur. It is named after hell Creek in Montana, USA.

Angel Devil

Digital replica of the upper skull from a dog (*Canis lupus familiaris*). 

The 3D Dog Bone Project is a collaboration between the Institute of Vet, Animal & Biomedical Sciences and the Institute of Natural and Mathematical Sciences at Massey University, New Zealand.
This model is a high-fidelity 3D scan and is suitable for use as an anatomically-accurate teaching resource. Note though that the anatomical detail within the nose and foramen magnum is not well-resolved. 3D scan data were collected using an SLS-2 structured light scanner (DAVID Vision Systems) and data were processed to create a model with 0.3 mm resolution. This model can be downloaded and 3D printed.

Bust of a rhetorician, 200-235 CE, minor asia, Smyrna ('Diana's Bath'), marble, Cinquentenaire Museum (Brussels, Belgium). Made with ReMake and ReCap from Autocad.

This portrait is preserved, as its counterpart, in an exceptional way: the nose is intact, the polish of the flesh on the forehead still visible, the bust, the tablet and its base those of origin. Moreover, the quality of the execution is remarkable. The two men have the bare chest, one shoulder covered with a drape in the Greek fashion, thus indicating their will to be represented as scholars.

A marble head of Vespasian

The typical mask had glass openings for the eyes and a curved beak shaped like a bird's beak with straps that held the beak in front of the doctor's nose. The mask had two small nose holes and was a type of respirator which contained aromatic items. The beak could hold dried flowers (commonly roses and carnations), herbs (commonly lavender and peppermint), camphor, or a vinegar sponge, as well as juniper berry, ambergris, cloves, labdanum, myrrh, and storax. The purpose of the mask was to keep away bad smells, such as the smell of decaying bodies. The smell taken with the most caution was known as miasma, a noxious form of "bad air". This was thought to be the principal cause of the disease.

This 3D model is a composite of images from a subadult Longnose Gar (Lepisosteus osseus) housed at the Maymont Nature Center (https://maymont.org/animals/nature-center/), and a scan from a preserved Longnose Gar from the Natural History Collection at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst (https://bcrc.bio.umass.edu/nhc/home).

CG artists Jer Bot, Johnson Martin and Robert Gutierrez used Blender to reconstruct the full fish from these scans and images, as well as animate the movements.
