These firearms often have rounds that carry an explosive or incendiary payload. The DShK 1938 is a Soviet heavy machine gun that can be vehicle-mounted, used on a tripod, or placed on a wheeled carriage as a heavy infantry machine gun. Its name comes from its original designers, Vasily Degtyaryov and Georgi Shpagin. While the DShK is not intended to be an anti-material rifle, a person in Ukraine modified one into a handheld weapon, which appears unusual due to its oversized muzzle.
