The Lion Monument (Löwendenkmal) is located in [Lucerne, Switzerland](http://www.luzern.com/en/lion-monument).

The monument commemorates the Swiss Guards who were massacred in 1792 during the French Revolution, when revolutionaries stormed the Tuileries Palace in Paris, France.

The sculpture was designed by Danish sculptor Bertel Thorvaldsen, and finally hewn in 1820–1821 by Lukas Ahorn, in a former sandstone quarry near Lucerne.

3D scan of a Southern stout-legged moa (*Euryapteryx curtus gravis*) skeleton from the Holocene. Moas are extinct birds that lived on New Zealand. This skeleton was donated to the museum by Dr. Julius Ritter von Haast in 1884. 

This specific skeleton is housed backstage, but complete skeletons of both a southern giant moa (*Dinornis robustus*, formally called *Dinornis maximus*) and another stout-legged moa are number 77 of the NHM Top 100 and can be found in Hall 30 of the NHM Vienna. Three more skeletons of different moa species are on display in the Ice Age (Eiszeit) corridor.

Dimorphodon is an ambient animal in Carnivores, Carnivores 2, and Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunter.

**reality**

Dimorphodon (from the Greek di, "two," morphe, "form," and odon, "tooth"; "two-formed teeth") is a genus of rhamphorhynchoid pterosaurs from the Early Jurassic, 195 to 190 million years ago. It was named by paleontologist Richard Owen in 1859.

Dimorphodon had a wingspan of approximately 1.4 m and a length of 1 m, including the tail. It had a large, bulky skull, the weight of which was reduced by the presence of large cavities separated by thin bony walls. This structure, reminiscent of the arches of a bridge, led Owen to assert that no other vertebrate had achieved such weight efficiency in its skeletal structure.

The Lion Fountain in the western Hungarian town of Kőszeg (German: Güns) was erected in 1996 and is one of the newer artistic highlights in the historic town center. It is located on the edge of the main square and combines modern art with the town's rich history. The fountain was created by Hungarian sculptor István Máté, who was responsible for the sculptural execution of the animal figures and the relief design.

In the center of the fountain, two bronze lions lie side by side on a raised stone slab. The animals are modeled naturalistically and appear both calm and powerful; their posture conveys dignity and vigilance. The massive base is made of light-colored limestone and is decorated with bronze reliefs on several sides. These reliefs feature heraldic and historical motifs and establish a connection to the identity of Kőszeg. A Hungarian inscription is affixed to the edge of the fountain slab: “Ne menjen le a nap a te haragoddal,” which translates as “May the sun not set on your anger.”

3D scan of a South Island Giant Moa (*Dinornis robustus*) skeleton originating from New Zealand. Moas were birds that lived on the Islands of New Zealand, but are extinct today. This skeleton was found in a cave in New Zealand by Ferdinand von Hochstetter during the Novara expedition and brought to Vienna in 1859. The Giant Moa was part of the Weltaustellung in Vienna in 1873 and can now be found in the new Moa showcase in the Natural History Museum in Vienna.
