Japanese street at night

This is a 3D Model of Kindred, from League of Legends, created from the ground up, this model is based on the game, but taking some liberties like having a more "realistic" body, but still trying to have the same type of feeling as the game.

It contains 2 posible versions, one for Rigging and the other one 3D Printing. All for Free! This model is part of a yearly collection of 3D Fan Characters I'm doing, this is part of Month 5 of said collection, if you want to check out the timelapse of this model or even see the other characters I'll be making, you can do so in my social media!

Japanese Traffic Light

Skull and neck of an adult green iguana (_Iguana iguana_, OUVC 10677), with annotations of some of the more obscure anatomical features. It was collected legally and euthanized humanely by Zoo Miami staff and provided to us for research and education. We scanned the head region on the OUµCT scanner in 2012 at a resolution of 90µm (0.090 mm). Scan data were imported into workstations running Avizo and digitally extracted the bones and soft tissues. The work on this project was done primarily by Alexandra Spaw, who at the time was an undergraduate student in Ohio University's Honors Tutorial College and now is a medical student at Ohio State University. Ryan Ridgely assembled these materials in Maya for upload here. For more 3D content on this specimen, check out the Visible Interactive Iguana site: http://bit.ly/1LzIU6x. There you’ll find 3D PDFs for download that provide comparable content to what’s here, but allowing the user more control. This model can be downloaded here as an STL.

Green Iguana skull - OUVC 10677

3D animation of the cranial kinesis mechanism of an adult scarlet macaw skull (Ara macao, OUVC 10633). Ryan Ridgely generated the animation using inverse kinematics in Maya, based on the 3D model that WitmerLab PhD student Jann Nassif assembled from the µCT-scan data. Ryan also used for reference our video of cranial kinesis in a hyacinth macaw (http://bit.ly/2aeTamz). There you’ll find 3D PDFs for download that provide comparable content to what’s here, but allowing the user more control. Funded by a grant from the National Science Foundation.

Scarlet macaw cranial kinesis animation

Earl’s Hill Hillfort is an Iron Age enclosure 7 miles south west of Shrewsbury and immediately south east of the village of Pontesbury, Shropshire. The site consists of an earlier oval enclosure on the summit with a defended north gate and a later elongated annexe to the south extending along the top of the ridge. There is another defended enclosure approx. 400ft down through the woodland to the north known as Pontesford Hill Hillfort which is covered in trees.

Skull of a young alligator (Alligator mississippiensis, OUVC 10389) with annotations of some of the blood vessels. It was legally provided to us by the Rockefeller Wildlife Refuge for research and education. We scanned the head region on the OUµCT scanner at a resolution of 90µm (0.090 mm). Scan data were imported into workstations running Avizo and digitally extracted the bones and soft tissues. This specimen was used by David Dufeau during his dissertation research and then was used by Ruger Porter during his dissertation research on dinosaur blood vessels and their role in thermal physiology. This specimen was part of the sample included in the PLOS ONE article by Dufeau and Witmer (http://bit.ly/2dWhTNZ) and a Journal of Anatomy article by Porter, Sedlmayr, & Witmer (http://bit.ly/2e0WqVg). The original CT scan data can be downloaded on Dryad (http://bit.ly/2ebdnZS), along with a 3D PDF that provides comparable content to what’s here but allows more control. The model can be downloaded  here as an FBX.

Gigantentruppe

Found an interesting picture of an axe-head dating from the Koban Period (Late Bronze Age). This is my attempt to try and recreate it and have it brough back to life. This is not 100% historically accurate as i had a rough template of the geometry of the axe and some visual bits in terms of the engravings.

Walled Apple Orchard

Neolithic house reconstruction of the TRB (Funnel Beaker culture/Trichterbecherkultur) from Flögeln (c. 3200 BCE) recorded in Steinzeitpark Dithmarschen, Albersdorf, Schleswig. 

Beginner photogrammetry (RealityScan) with DJI minidrone and handheld Canon camera. Recorded in very low winter sun, which gave hard light/shadows, holes which I tried to close and clean a bit. Still rough, and could need more polish of mesh and textures, etc. by someone more skilled than me.

Interactive visualization of the fully nonlinear gravitationally induced trajectories of a nearly complete set of galaxies, groups, and clusters in the Local Supercluster constructed in a Numerical Action Method (NAM) model constrained by data from the CosmicFlows survey and various distance indicators. The Virgo, Fornax, Antlia and Virgo W clusters are represented by large spheres colored red, khaki, black, and purple, respectively. The Milky Way and M31 galaxies are shown by smaller spheres colored yellow and green, respectively. Others are colored blue. The time evolution runs from the past 13.25 billion years to present.
