On festive occasions the gentlemen sat here after dinner, smoking cigars and talking. On regular days, however, this was the family sitting room, where they gathered to drink coffee and play board games in the evenings.

The smoking room is inspired by the [Orient](https://goo.gl/pDNk9v). It was common in the late 19th century to decorate with oriental features and the room is typical for the ideals of the time. The style is associated with [colonialism](https://goo.gl/epxUNw) and militarism and was therefore considered to be appropriate for a room for gentlemen. The walls are clad in silk which was meant to give the room a feeling of an officer's tent.

The Smoking Room

Twelfth-century Water-Moon Guanyin (Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva in the Water-Moon Form), now in the collection of the Minneapolis Institute of Art.

From the sculpture’s description on artsmia.org:

“This form of the bodhisattva presides over his own paradise, Potolaka, which is described in scripture as a rugged seaside cave from which Avalokiteshvara could admire the reflection of the moon in the water. Appropriately, he appears meditative and relaxed and is seated informally in the “royal-ease” posture...Believers might look to a sculpture like this as a guide for their own journeys toward enlightenment.”

Baldwin Study Room that includes a collection of game-ready assets. The overall theme is a private detective room for a personal project, but the assets are suitable for many themes and genres.

This sanctuary belongs to a private detective. Amid the crackle of the fire and the room’s shadowed corners, she delves into mysteries, her scattered notes, books, and sketches revealing a world of silent secrets.

Collection includes over 40 unique game-ready models, including a desk, paintings, books, and props. Models are low-poly and optimised for use in game, VR, archviz, and visual production. Silent Hill 2 Baldwin Study Room Normal

I got bored, so here's a Minecraft Villager model I've been messing around with. Even fixed the robe (it's like 2 pixels too short, making the texture just cut off all of a sudden).
I also mixed both textures into one, for multiple reasons.
1. If it's just the main villager texture, it looks incredibly inappropriate.
2. It's more efficient.
Straight from the plains biome, it's even got the nose.
First model that I published using Blockbench, only made drafts for the others. I highly recommend using Blockbench, especially if you know how to use Blender.

EDIT: I've been on a search trying to find the original modeler for this dragon but no one has provided appropriate credits on their uploads for me to be certain who it belongs to. If anyone has an idea who the original creator of this model is, please let me know so I can appropriately credit them!

Sci Fi Environment Tile Set

As it appears to be a trend, a small WIP diorama ([Nice one here!](https://skfb.ly/6xvV6)) just to try out some lighting technique for an incoming model (not a WIP I hope).

The refractive "box" around the model is just eye-candy, what was really of interest to me was to get an idea about bubbles (spheres with an emissive material coupled with dithering transparency), sun rays (elongated planes with blending opacity and a light emission to them) and the ground lights (not done well here, but basically voronoi textures to simulate the effect of waves on the light, baked on the ground model).

The ground is a quick and ugly dyntopo sculpt done in blender, while the little fish are just a particle system set with a lowpoly mesh as render object.

A nice point to spend time on will be the ocean surface, to do with the appropriate modifier in blender, and a refractive/small-scale-roughness/foamy-at-the-edges material.

Plus, I should try to animate rays, bubbles and fish (as boids) to give it a living touch.

You are free to use this model in any way.

Click download and select original format.  Unzip the downloaded file, open the source folder and unzip the file in there and this will give you the FBX file and a number of MET textures.  The FBX file can be loaded into UE4 selecting the UE4_Mannequin for the skeleton.  Texture and normal maps are embedded and will be loaded automatically.  The extra textures (MET) are for the metallic nodes in the appropriate material blueprints (load these into UE4 manually).  Roughness set to 0.2 generally works for the metallic materials.

The book is quit old and contains a Chinese general's war tactices. Although one could still learn something about war from reading it, it is more and more appreciated as a management book. That is because of the strategic thinking and high level tacitcs that he explains and that could be used in a management context as well. Worth a read? You can get it for free and it's a very classical book so yes.

The object itself didn't take me too long but the texturing...never again do I ad 16 "pages" with a texture on each front and back....But I commited to it so each of the pages has it's unique text that comes from the book. For the chinese characters, I googled some chinese words for "peace" "war" "victory" etc and put them there. I was already told by a way more fluent Mandarin speaking person that those are not appropriate for the time of Sun Tzu so sorry for that but I hope they do their job.

I remade the model and textures after some time, making two materials instead of one, and working in total PBR.

Ottoman Pillow and Carpets

The orange clownfish is widely known as a popular aquarium fish. Like other clownfishes, it often lives in association with sea anemones. A percula is associated specifically with Heteractis magnifica and Stichodactyla gigantea, and as larva use chemical cues released from the anemones to identify and locate the appropriate host species to use them for shelter and protection.

The goal of this project was to create a small asset pack that coule be placed within 3 environments. They were to be general enough to work outdoors on or indoors. The props would not be interacted with and the player will not be focused on investigating them too closely. These props would also have served the purpose to provide level blocking and layout, since they are large enough to affect navigation.

The assets would be considered lower detail background models. All assets should be included as one asset, they should all share the same material and texture set, one material and UV channel, with a texture resolution of 2048x2048 and a mostly uniform texel density and under 5000 vertices. Assets were to be textured using a PBR workflow with a packed texture (ARM), created with modular design in mind and appropriate real-world scale (centimeters).

While I did not end up getting an offer for this position, I believe that these assets turned out very well!

Edifié en 1552 par François Colas des Francs, bourgeois marchand d'Orléans, le cabinet conservait ses archives et son trésor. Il est remarquable par sa riche décoration intérieure d'époque Renaissance. Il fut successivement la propriété de la Congrégation des Petites Soeurs Dominicaines puis de l'Etat puis de la Ville d'Orléans. Rescapé des bombardements de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, il agrémente  le jardin Jacques-Boucher.

 Toute implantation en limite de propriété ne peut être réalisée que si cette limite est certaine.
Comme dirait l'autre : "Un homme averti en vaut deux" Sauf que sur un bornage, deux centimètres peuvent coûter une démolition.

GEO SEINE- Team

Le Béarn occupe une place à part dans l’histoire de la Marine nationale : longtemps, il restera le seul porte-avions en service, jusqu’en 1945, lorsque le Dixmude passe sous pavillon français. Et l’image que j’avais en tête, celle qui m’a servi de point de départ, c’est le Béarn avant sa grande refonte de 1930-1933, encore dans sa configuration d’origine, avec tout ce qu’elle raconte d’une époque de transition.

C’est précisément ce virage qui m’avait donné envie d’en faire un projet : raconter comment un navire prévu pour une guerre en devient le témoin d’une autre, comment une coque interrompue peut être reprise et changer de rôle. Sauf que, comme ces coques restées à l’état d’ébauche, mon propre travail s’est arrêté en chemin. J’ai commencé avec enthousiasme, j’ai accumulé des idées, des pistes, des brouillons… puis je n’ai jamais vraiment terminé. Et aujourd’hui, ce projet lui ressemble un peu : il est là, plein de promesses, mais encore inachevé.
