On the corner of North Charles St. and North Ave. sits an old bank building that closed in during the Great Depression. In recent years, the billboard sign above the building has been used to protest police brutality and violence in the city.

In 1967, one of Europe’s largest monument complexes commemorating victims of Nazism was opened on the camp territory. The memorial creates a symbol of the border between life and death with a 100 metre-long concrete wall, on which is written  – “Beyond these gates the land groans”. There are also seven concrete sculptures: “Mother”, “The Unbroken”, “The humuliated”, “Protest”, “Red Front”, “Solidarity”,“The Oath”. This memorial bust of George Floyd is available to everyone supporting the Black Lives Matter protests. This 3D 
printing file is free and is a presentation of love from the sculptors to the Floyd family and protestors at large. The memorial bust was created by the father-and-son team of sculptors, Daniel and Rodman Edwards. 

“While protesting is pivotal, there are plenty of other effective modes of activism,” said Rodman Edwards, “we 
agreed that using our talents was the best way we could show our support.”

“Many in the 3D printing community are staying at home, social distancing, unable to join the protests, but wishing to show their support – they can 3D print a memorial portrait of George Floyd at home, and post images of the 
bust for online vigils through social media,” said Daniel Edwards. 

“The memorial bust of George Floyd puts power into the peoples' hands. For the first time in history, individuals 
have the right to choose who they wish to memorialize forever," said Rodman Edwards.

The Statue of V is an experiment with Magic Leap made by the 2nd Year students of Advertising and Brand Design at Ravensbourne University London in collaboration with DoubleMe.

Alan Moore’s character of V is a symbol of empowerment of opposition and dissent. By creating an Augmented Reality monument we encourage the people to question what would happen if every protest had a permanent presence outside places of power.

> Fragment of a mold-made terracotta female figurine with a lion-like head (2878 / TZ 015312-001), dating to the Late Bronze Age–Iron Age. It depicts the upper body of a fertility goddess with a large centrally parted hairstyle falling over the shoulders, one visible ear, and exposed breasts. The lower part is broken off and facial details are eroded, but the fragment is otherwise stable.

> Yoke finial (4174 / TZ 010950-001) made of alabaster, dating to Iron Age II. It is a fragment of a round pommel with a smoothly polished top surface and a centric drill hole, round in cross-section, with a deep circular groove in the middle. The top side has a central round hole, while the bottom side features a rectangular hole. The object belongs to chariot equipment and measures 3.7 cm in height with a maximum diameter of 2.5 cm.

I was joining a bicycle protest for climate justice with some friends in Berlin, when a bunch of apes drew our attention to a roadblock nearby. Some activists had blocked the street infront of the german automotive lobby (VDA) with a car, lying on the roof. It has been decorated with plants and banners, claiming that the VDA is blocking solutions against climate crisis. Some of the activists had glued themselves to the artwork. The VDA's entrance was blocked with another piece of art, soldered together from old bicycle parts. We spontaneously joind a 'die-in' with douzens of people lying on the street. We were given corona ribbons for keeping distance to each other. More infos and images of the event:

A heavy crowd-control barricade made from a solid concrete block reinforced with a mounted steel containment frame. The concrete is rough, grey, and stained with grime, marked by a worn yellow and white restriction stripe that’s chipped and faded from long-term use.

Two steel beams are embedded into the block, supporting a bolted metal frame with wire mesh. The metal is dark, weathered, and scuffed, showing oxidation and impact wear. The overall condition suggests repeated deployment in tense urban situations and protests, not all of them peaceful.
