This species is native to the Americas, as far north as Yukon and as far south as Peru. It has been introduced in Europe, New Zealand, and Caribbean islands.
A population of 700 white-tailed deer in Seneca, New York carries a recessive gene for an all-white coat. About 300 of the 700 deer express this gene.

Okay, so it’s technically not recessed since you’d have to cut a hole in your ceiling, but this low-poly model can help enhance the look of your scene by having an actual source to your light(s). No more plain white ceilings!

## Scanning
The scans were captured with wireless connection to my workstation to capture the data faster (with latest update laser mode now reaches 120FPS over WiFi, not bad at all).  
For the laser scan marker tracking was used. The scan bench was placed on a turntable with marker geometries placed around it to allow scanning from shallower angles (as seen in last picture). The resolution was set to 0.1mm and exposure was adjusted so the white print wasn't overexposed. For laser mode I used a combination of parallel and cross line laser mode, changing them by using the scanners touch screen while scanning.   

## Post-Processing
For all three scans precessing was done using the recommended settings within ExScan Rigil. This includes point cloud generation and meshing.  
After exporting the meshes I used Quicksurface to align the meshes to the coordinate system and each other. The laser scans had to be reduced to allow upload to Sketchfab.

The artefact is a well-preserved limb of a composite reflex bow, featuring a recess for the bowstring. The term 'composite bow' is used to denote a bow that has been constructed from multiple parts and layers of organic origin. The limbs and grip are composed of one or more pieces of wood, which form a core.  The grip is constituted of varying numbers of horn or antler plates which were adhered to the core. The term "reflex" is employed to denote the bow whose limbs, in the unstrung state, are flexed outwards. In the strung state, the limbs are oriented vertically, and in the drawn state, they are directed towards the archer.

Brooch with star-shaped frame with eight points. The points of the star are shaped like lilies and arranged above a bar, with partially unfinished drill holes visible in the points. The frame also features a beaded decoration. The artefact is completely gold-plated. It has a spike that tapers towards the tip. This has a flat trapezoidal cross-section. On the inside of the frame there is a recess and a hole for the spike axis. Brooches are a significant aspect of high and late medieval fashion. The larger and more stable brooches as such piece are usually attached to the shoulder or chest of the coat.
