"Bayard Station was once the headquarters for the Chesapeake Gas Company of Baltimore City, which merged with several other companies eventually becoming BGE. During the station’s heyday, the gas works spread over 14 acres. The complex included the Valve House; four large telescoping holding tanks, called “gasometers;” and a series of processing buildings, of which one remains today across Hamburg Street. The gas was manufactured, stored in the gasometers, and then piped into the valve house where it was compressed before being directed into the main lines of the city."

Today, this building is home to an architectural salvage company called [Housewerks](https://housewerkssalvage.com/pages/about-us). Since they purchased the building in 2005, they have worked to preserve the structure and have placed it on the National Register of Historic Places.

Bayard Station Valve House

Given the recent scientific news and the fact that I'm on the "experimenting with volumetrics" path, I figured out that trying to reproduce space objects with simple force-driven particle simulation could be a fun exercise. Here are some first tests !

This object was made by moving 1000 particles around (rigid body rotation initial speed, one central repulsive force and two attractive ones), and "registering" their paths in an alpha voxels grid (225x225x225), which I finally mapped to textured planes for the volumetric effect.

A final central sphere was used with refraction parameters to create the center "black hole".

Might be resource intensive, sorry for that !

19th Dynasty, dating to circa 1220 BC. Found in Thebes, Egypt.

Cash register with a counting machine

Historic wooden church in Trzęsówka, Subcarpathia, Poland.

From Wikipedia:
The church was built in 1759 as a court chapel of the Kuczkowski family. It originally bore the invocation of St. John the Evangelist. In 1778 it became a branch church. From 1788 it became the parish church of the newly-established parish of Saint Anne.

In 1903 the nave was lengthened by 9 meters, the roof was covered with galvanized sheet metal, and a side chapel and a granary were added. The wooden floor was replaced with cement board flooring, and the square windows were replaced with arched ones. In 1905, the interior was plastered, polychrome was laid, the altars were restored, the organ and the fence were repaired. A new organ was purchased in 1960. The altars were renovated in 1976, and the polychrome in 1977.

The building served as a parish church until 2004, when a new temple was put into use. On April 7, 2004 it was entered in the register of monuments

Statue of the ram of Amun

402 images were used to create this model of the Historic Ramey house.   This house is said to be the 2nd oldest registered house in Boulder County.

In the collections of the National Museum in Kraków, two works by Wolfgang Prenner (active 1637–1677), who came to Kraków from Styria, are particularly important. In 1637, he was entered into the registers of the municipal law and guild, and the following year, he obtained the position of the city’s clocksmith. At the request of the Cracovian chapter, he supervised the tower clock in the Wawel Cathedral, and among others, he undertook its major repair twice.
The tabletop clock on display dates back to around 1670.

"Stylized animal motifs predominate Shang bronze decor. The dragon, snake, cicada, ram, owl, tiger and even elephant can all be found. These creatures were almost always subordinate to the taotie mask which typically dominates the largest or most important register of nearly all Shang bronzes. This exquisite food bowl has three such masks clearly cast in high relief encircling its cauldron. Below each mask, in the foot band, are two confronting dragons shown in profile, while four similar dragons appear above each mask in the top decorative band..."

 Completed in 1924 to commemorate the city status of Koriyama City in 1924.
Simulating a drawing of the Hague Peace Palace in the Netherlands, it has a continuous semicircular arched colonnade, window sills, a tower that emphasizes it’s height via a long glass surface installed in the corner of the frame; all carefully designed with raised and lowered windows.
It is popular as a symbol of Koriyama City and is still used today for concerts.

The Ute Ulay Mining Complex is located along the Alpine Loop Scenic Byway just south of Lake City, Colorado. The Ute Ulay mining claims were discovered in 1871 and were one of the biggest producers of gold and silver in the San Juan Mountains. The Bureau of Land Management Gunnison Field Office has partnered with Hinsdale County to promote heritage tourism and has stabilized and preserved several structures within the mining complex. Ute Ulay was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2017.

The wooden water tank was filled by the flume from the Ute Ulay Dam. The water tank supplied water to the hydropower plant through three vertical pipes to three Leffel turbine water wheels that powered the electrical generating equipment in the power plant. The water tank was constructed in 1926 along with the dam, flume, and hydropower plant.

The ‘Mill of Benholm Enterprise (SCIO)’ is the charity safeguarding the Mill of Benholm for generations to come by using the site sustainable as a community hub and community garden, but also developing the Mill into a visitor attraction.

Situated within the conservation area of Benholm near the coastal village of Johnshaven, Aberdeenshire. A restoration of the Mill was completed in 1995. 

The mill buildings are not only Category A listed, but also described by Historic Environment Scotland as ‘an exceptional and rare survival’.

The Mill of Benholm comprises of the mill with the waterwheel and kiln, the former miller’s house and byre, a mill pond all in a beautiful and peaceful setting with approx. 7 acres of land, orchards and gardens and a cafe.

Cash Register

This model was generated from 466 images taken with an Olymppus TG-6 using the Agisoft Metashape software. The wreck is a local landmark on the beach at Pendine, South Wales, and is the Francis Beddoe, a wooden ketch of 250 tons built at Saundersfoot in 1872. It was the last vessel from the yard of Francis Beddoe on Railway Street (now The Strand). The ketch was originally registered at Milford Haven and was the property of widow Mrs B Maria Beddoe, after her husband died. Short reports appear in local newpapers relating to incidents in the ketch's service life, such as a court case in where a deposit had been paid for the vessel to the executor of Francis Beddoe's will, but the vessel was actually sold to another person.The ketch was bound from Bideford to Tenby with cargo of gravel when it went ashore on Pendine Sands on 8 March 1924. Tetrapod bowl with two horizontal flange-like projections at mid-wall. Traces of red and white paint remain.
According to the Museo Príncipe Maya, which previously held the piece in custody and on display, this bowl was found in a cave context containing two miniature figurines: a pregnant woman and a small child, registered under  IDAEH Cultural Property No.  16.5.1456 and 16.2.5.1457, respectively.
