Allée couverte du Bois-Couturier, a megalithic tomb located in Guiry-en-Vexin, France was discovered in 1915 by an agricultural worker. This ancient tomb is buried in the hillside overlooking the Aubette valley at an altitude of 132 meters. Facing south/ southeast, the burial chamber measures 7 meters long and 2 meters wide. The antechamber is short and wide measuring 1 meter by 1.85 meters. The walls, constructed of horizontal layers of limestone plates, measure 1.30 meters high. The arrangement of the limestone slabs of the roof have been disturbed, and their current position is a result of restoration.

This model was created from FARO Focus S70 scan data and processed in Reality Capture software.

After 56 continuous hours of work between November 23rd and November 30th, I am proud to present **the fully corrected and decorated Springfield map from The Simpsons Game.** 😮
This project involved exhaustive corrections and the addition of detailed decorations to bring the entire city of Springfield to life. The map is now complete and available for everyone to explore.

The Mosque of the Blessed Tree, a newly constructed 250-square-meter heritage mosque, stands as a testament to the reviving of our cultural architectural legacy. Incorporating Islamic architectural principles and traditional building techniques, this mosque serves as a example of heritage preservation. Located approximately 140 kilometers northeast of Amman, in the Safawi area of Mafraq, Jordan, this sacred site is meticulously maintained by the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, alongside the Royal Committee for the Restoration of the Shrines of Prophets and Companions. Their efforts ensure the preservation of the site's cultural heritage for future generations.

Gislebertus' Temptation of Eve (French: La Tentation d'Ève) was originally the lintel of the north door of the cathedral. It is stated that the Temptation of Eve was created around the 1130s at the same time in which the portail of the [Last Judgment](https://skfb.ly/oyTLY) and the narrative capitals were made. This large sculpture is now displayed in the Musée Rolin, Autun, France, restored in recent years.

Abandoned Project Truck (Raw Scan)

The actual building was comanded to build by Jacques d'Amboise, abbot of Cluny, in1485. The chapel was restored recently, in 2015. [Here you can see a 360º with its state before the restoration.](https://goo.gl/R7eafP)

Paris, Musée de Cluny - Chapel

Sailing ships were often bestowed with elaborate carvings and this wooden cat once adorned the famous 'Cutty Sark'. The ship was actually built in Dumbarton, on site currently occupying Scottish Maritime Museum building.

A cathead is a large wooden beam located on either bow of a sailing ship, and angled outward at rougly 45 degrees. The beam is used to support the ship’s anchor when weighing or lowering it. Many had a cat’s or lion’s head carved on the seaward beam end.

This little cat was a donation from the 'Cutty Sark' Trust and is the carved end of one of the ship’s original catheads. The beams were removed as part of restoration work, with the Museum receiving the donation in 1987.

This scan is part of the work to compare different scanner types and brands for different tasks on behalf of Digisam. Digisam coordinates the digitization of 22 heritage institutions. www.digisam.se

This model is made photogrammetrically with a zoom lens and autofocus. That is not recommended as it gives distortion to the images. I have made it so I can compare to a fix lens, fix focus model and both of those to the laserscans.

Tottieska malmgården, Zoomlens and autofocus

An updated 3D scan of Old Waverly Town Hall restoration in Baltimore, MD. It was built in 1873 to serve as a public hall for the Waverly community. The city plans on restoring the building to its original 19th-century design. There has been a lot of progress since the last time I scanned it about three months ago. Some noticeable changes include the extension of the windows to their original length, restoration of the cornices, removal of fire escapes, repaired roof, and interior construction.

This is an unused ship model from Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, preserved and presented to reflect how it appeared during the 2016 game. Because the asset was never finalized for use in-game, all UVs were originally packed into a single corner of the texture space, even though the UV layout itself was already complete. 

For this restoration, the original UVs were repositioned and laid out correctly, without rebuilding or altering them in any way. The intent was strictly to restore usability and accuracy while preserving the original developer-made UV structure.

No redesigns or reinterpretations were made. The only addition beyond correcting the UV layout is the inclusion of light maps, added to help the model respond properly to lighting and better represent how a finished in-game asset would have appeared.

This is a faithful preservation pass on an unused Rift Apart development asset, focused on accuracy, restraint, and respect for the original work.

Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart Unused Aphelion

The Mill of Benholm is a water-powered Category A (Grade I) listed historic Mill in a beautiful and peaceful setting of the historic Mill site with adjacent registered ancient Woodland the Mill Brae Woods.

The ‘Mill of Benholm Enterprise (SCIO)’ is the charity safeguarding the Mill of Benholm for generations to come by using the site sustainable as a community hub and community garden, but also developing the Mill into a visitor attraction.

Situated within the conservation area of Benholm near the coastal village of Johnshaven, Aberdeenshire. A restoration of the Mill was completed in 1995. 

The mill buildings are not only Category A listed, but also described by Historic Environment Scotland as ‘an exceptional and rare survival’.

The Mill of Benholm comprises of the mill with the waterwheel and kiln, the former miller’s house and byre, a mill pond all in a beautiful and peaceful setting with approx. 7 acres of land, orchards and gardens and a cafe.

Clean Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart Unused Aphelion

This is a fully restored version of the Zoni ship as shown in the Insomniac Museum. The original museum asset used a single texture atlas, but several components—most notably the wings—were mapped to incorrect regions, resulting in broken UVs and inconsistent material placement. While the atlas itself appeared structurally correct, parts were assigned to the wrong areas, likely due to confusion during the atlas consolidation process.

For this restoration, the model was rebuilt with a corrected atlas layout. All UVs were cleaned, reorganized, and remapped so each component now aligns properly with its intended atlas space, with no overlaps or mismatches.

Additionally, multiple ship variants that originally existed only in the PS3 version were restored and adapted. These variants previously relied on multiple textures and color variations rather than a unified atlas. Each has now been converted to work within a single custom atlas while preserving its original appearance.

Finzean Bucket Mill Community Interest Company has been founded to repair, maintain and operate the historic Grade-A Listed water powered sawmill, which specialises in the production of wooden buckets, which can be found near the village of Finzean in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. 

The Bucket Mill has a rich history. Built in 1853 on a site of a previous water powered sawmill, it was operated by the Brown family for three generations. It was built to produce turned wooden buckets, of a style which is now completely unique to the mill. By the late 1970s the mill was derelict, but was saved by Stan Moyes, who with the help of friends, led the restoration efforts in the 1980s and operated the mill throughout the 1990s and 2000s, cementing the mill as a local landmark.

The Finzean Bucket Mill CIC is the next custodian of the mill, which is owned by the Birse Community Trust.

Merlin Castle or Merlin Park Castle is a towerhouse which has recently seen some restoration work (presumably the windows and fireplace).
During the works, a tiny sheela-na-gig was discovered in one of the windows. It was a bit too windy to fly the drone close enough to the window to get an excellent shot, but I have marked it with an annotation.

**“Iron Leviathan”** is the common name for *Colossus ferrovitae*, a next‑generation armored platform developed during the era of autonomous battlefield engineering. Its dense, weathered plating wasn’t just protection, it housed a layered bio‑reactive alloy that subtly shifted rigidity under stress, a breakthrough meant to reduce catastrophic hull fractures. The clustered optics atop its turret formed an early multispectral array capable of reading thermal gradients across kilometers.

Its unexpected purpose emerged during environmental recovery missions. The Iron Leviathan’s immense stability and sensor suite made it ideal for navigating toxic, debris‑laden zones where human crews couldn’t operate. Over time, *C. ferrovitae* became less a symbol of war and more a rugged sentinel of restoration, proving that even the heaviest machines can be repurposed toward renewal.

Mask composed of jade fragments assembled using mosaic technique, forming the face of a supernatural being. It features square eyes, a prominent nose, and a semi-open mouth revealing three conical teeth—an unusual detail that may result from an incorrect restoration. The ears are decorated with shell inlays and square earspools with central perforations. Atop the head rises a trilobed element resembling a diadem, possibly associated with symbols of power or divinity. Traces of hematite are preserved at the joints of the mosaic.

The bowl is composed of stone-tempered reddish-brown clay. It is equipped with a saddle-shaped, narrow handle. The vessel's exterior is characterised by the presence of partial decorations, manifesting as incised lines and notches. The most intriguing aspect of this vessel is its structural design, which comprises two distinct compartments intended for the accommodation of disparate materials. The artefact was subjected to significant restoration due to its poor physical condition.

This object was digitized through the ‘Kulturerbe digital’ program of the Federal Ministry for Arts, Culture, Public Service and Sport.
