**Golden Wooden Gear Mechanism – Modular Fantasy System**

This modular wooden gear mechanism features four interconnected gears mounted on individual bases, enhanced with a subtle gold leaf finish that adds a refined, ornamental touch.

Originally created as a prototype inspired by mechanical systems similar to the iconic opening sequences of game of trone series, this piece blends craftsmanship and stylized design.

Although the model is built as a single object, each component remains visually distinct and unsoldered, allowing for flexible customization and rearrangement within your scenes or projects.

Designed in Cinema 4D and textured using Substance Painter, this asset dates back to 2018 and remains ideal for real-time integration, cinematic environments, or decorative mechanical setups.

The silver brooch is distinguished by its semi-circular, hollow headplate. The headplate is embellished with five buttons of alternating shapes, which have been inserted, soldered and secured by iron pins. Three of these buttons are still intact. The longitudinally profiled bow is fitted with a diamond-shaped base plate featuring an animal head at one end. The inner surfaces of the head and base plates are decorated with five spiral tendrils in a fluted pattern, whilst the eyes and nostrils of the animal head are gilded. The frame of the foot and the central bar of the clasp are nielloed.

The strap loop is composed of non-ferrous metal and is equipped with a soldered and cast front plate. The front part embellished with a symmetrical scroll motif.

Third hand for soldering wires remixed

**Dimensions:** Padlock 6,65 x 5,43 cm, Key 8,99 x 2,95 cm, 9,4 mm

**Dating:** 1501 - 1700 CE

During the manufacture of such padlocks two hemispherical halves were forged and soldered to a ring-shaped central section. After filing, recesses were cut to insert the spring and bolt, which was kept in the locked position by the spring. The hinge bracket was then riveted in place and tested. Finally, a sheet-metal cover was inserted over the mechanism opening, riveted, and filed to create a seamless spherical form. Owing to this construction method, ball padlocks lacked a separate internal mechanism.
Ball-shaped padlocks were produced in various sizes, with the smallest being particularly difficult to manufacture.

Desoldering Pump

I was joining a bicycle protest for climate justice with some friends in Berlin, when a bunch of apes drew our attention to a roadblock nearby. Some activists had blocked the street infront of the german automotive lobby (VDA) with a car, lying on the roof. It has been decorated with plants and banners, claiming that the VDA is blocking solutions against climate crisis. Some of the activists had glued themselves to the artwork. The VDA's entrance was blocked with another piece of art, soldered together from old bicycle parts. We spontaneously joind a 'die-in' with douzens of people lying on the street. We were given corona ribbons for keeping distance to each other. More infos and images of the event:

After the police has cleared the street, I was able to capture this shot with a friend on the Bebelplatz nearby.
