In Virgil, Laocoön was a priest of Poseidon who was killed with both his sons after attempting to expose the ruse of the Trojan Horse by striking it with a spear. In Sophocles, on the other hand, he was a priest of Apollo, who should have been celibate but had married.

This particular sculpture was made by the unknown artist and is a copy of the original work. 

3D scanned using photogrammetry in Hans Tausens Park in Copenhagen. Capturing of the scupture was done by 4 people/4 cameras by jointly dancing around the sculpture.

 Reconstructed in Reality Capture from about 1000 images.

An experiment for the [Haunted House challenge](https://blog.sketchfab.com/sketchfab-freeform-challenge-haunted-house/), based on a poster for the horror movie "the Cabin in the Woods".

Each piece of wall was extracted from nice 3D scans (mainly from @shapespeare ([this station](https://skfb.ly/KNz9)), @johngreenstone ([this cabin](https://skfb.ly/6yYDR) and [that one](https://skfb.ly/6yXRs)) and @Mario_Wallner ([prehistoric house](https://skfb.ly/6qJ6w))) and "normalized" to squares before being baked to a simple geometry for the house. The roof-part also comes from the prehistoric house scan.

But [this crow](https://skfb.ly/MJyr) from @cmp_innovation_studio is the real MVP...

The background image was made in GIMP, and lots of post-processing filters helped in giving the final look. This model was made to be a WIP, but I deleted some elements in the process, therefore making it "final"...

And yet **another WIP** for Sketchfab Texturing Challenge, with simpler (so less convincing) but much more optimized materials and textures (2k only, hence a lack of details...) than on the [Aquamarine Venus](https://skfb.ly/6xY6Y).

Considering the challenge "philosophy" (representation of gender in classical sculpture), I am not 100% convinced by the naive burnt/amber/fire war figure vs. washed/aquamarine/water deity opposition, and these models don't really have a "classical sculpture" feel to them...

I guess I'll have to make a choice if I ever want to participate in the contest!

A creature that I desgined in my speare time for no particular reason, it was good practise, I learnt everything you shouldnt do while modeling, retopo, uv-ing :L

The great white shark was the first Shark in the game and is the largest conventional tank shark.

As large as she is dangerous, a close quarters powerhouse taking full advantage of her enormous size. Being both slow moving and hard hitting the Great White will continue her onslaught as bullets and spears sail her way.

Azov (Russian: Азов; Russian pre-reform: Азовъ) was a 74-gun ship of the line of the Imperial Russian Navy. Azov was built in 1826 to compensate the losses of the disastrous 1824 Saint Petersburg flood. In the same year Azov, commanded by Mikhail Lazarev, became the flagship of Admiral Login Geiden's First Mediterranean Squadron and sailed to the Aegean on a joint English-French-Russian peacekeeping mission. On October 20 [O.S. October 8] 1827 Azov spearheaded the Russian squadron in the Battle of Navarino. She engaged numerous enemy ships and sustained heavy damage.

Another nice, little cameo on Rock 28.  This time a deer-hunting scene.  Two Iron-Age hunters have cornered a stag.  One plunges a spear into its side - his other hand wielding a sword.  A second hunter, not very well defined on the 3D model, stands in front of the stag holding a sword and a shield.

Both these types of gladiators had distinctively small shields. The Thracian's (right) was rectangular, that of the Hoplomachus was round. The Hoplomachus could also be armed with a spear.
