Jeffrey Epstein Little St James Temple

This is a 3D model of a male of the jumping spider Habronattus pyrrithrix. CG artist Johnson Martin created this model in Blender using photos, video, and a CT-scan. Nate Morehouse from the University of Cincinnati and Beth Jakob, Skye Long and Daniel Daye from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst provided access to photos, videos, and specimens.  Philip Steinhoff from the Uhl Lab at the University of Greifswald allowed us to use a CT-scan to recreate the body mesh. CG artist Jer Bot helped with creation of the 3D body mesh.

Creation of this model was supported by an NSF grant to Nate Morehouse at the University of Cincinnati (NSF IOS-1734291).

Model 63A - Jumping Spider - Resting pose

This wreck was found in 1994 during construction work in the Uelvesbüller Koog, Nordfriesland, Schleswig Holstein, North Germany. It is a flat-bottomed Dutch cargo vessel, which could also sail in shallow waters. The dendrochronological examination of the oak wood used in the construction revealed that the keel was laid around 1600. About twenty years later there was an accident off the Adolfskoog: The vessel sank in a tidal channel. After salvage and a two-year stabilisation phase in a sugar solution, the wreck has been on display in the Nordfriesland Maritime Museum since April 1998.

3D scan of a taxidermized specimen of a Cuban Macaw, or Tricolored Macaw (*Ara tricolor*). This parrot species was native to Cuba and the neighboring island of Pines, before they were driven to extinction in the 2nd half of the 19th century. The use of *Ara tricolor* as food and pets and the deforestation of their habitat may have contributed to their extinction. 

This bird mount is not visible in the exhibition of the museum – it is part of the scientific bird collection of the NHM Vienna that holds more than 130,000 objects. 

Halls 29 to 32 of the NHM Vienna display many other bird specimens and species.

It turned out some kind of Frankenstein bike, I had to use photos of different bicycles. I still completely don’t understand how to bake normals correctly, I think this will come with practice. Unfortunately, it was not possible to load the textures in full resolution due to the size limit.
I will be glad to any advice :D

Vintage Bicycle

Antatt spillebrikke av kleberstein med runeinnskrift, funnet i middelalderkontekst (ca 1100-tallet) under veien ved Erling Skakkes gate 9 i Trondheim.

Runolog Karen Langsholt Holmqvist har lest innskriften som **s i g g s i f r**, og tolker den som et navn, sannsynligvis navnet på den som eide brikka eller den som ristet runene. En alternativ tolkning kan være at navnet, som direkte oversatt kan bety "Stridsbror", var kallenavnet på selve spillebrikka.

A presumed gaming piece of soap stone with a runic inscription, found in medieval context (12th century) under the road in Trondheim, Norway. Runologist Karen Langsholt Holmqvist has interpreted the inscription as a hitherto unknown name, Sigsífr. A direct translation of the name could be "Warriorbrother", which could alternatively be seen as a name of the gaming piece itself.

Spillebrikke med runer / Gaming piece with runes

Olavskirken i Bamble, også kalt Skeidis kirke ble oppført på 1100-tallet. Den er viet til St. Olav med innvielsesdag 4. oktober. Kirken var trolig en hovedkirke i Grenland. Den var den største av de kjente steinkirkene. Erstattet av ny kirke 1845.

Nesten samtlige steinkirker i Telemark ble oppført på 1100-tallet og flere kan dateres til 1180-årene. Akkurat som middelalderkirkene ellers i landet, ble kirkene i Telemark oppført i en periode vi kaller borgerkrigstiden (1130–1240). Kirkene er også ganske like. De er bygd etter samme mønster som enskipede romanske steinkirker med europeiske trekk, sannsynligvis av et omreisende håndverkslag.

A Stargate is an Einstein–Rosen bridge portal device within the Stargate fictional universe that allows practical, rapid travel between two distant locations. The devices first appear in the 1994 Roland Emmerich film Stargate, and thereafter in the television series Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, and Stargate Universe. In these productions, the Stargate functions as a plot generator, allowing the main characters to visit alien planets without the need for spaceships or any other type of technology. The device allows for near-instantaneous travel across both interstellar and extragalactic distances.

Gjutning av mexikansk stenfigur. Originalfiguren finnes i Museum für Völkerkunde, Stuttgart. Den är förfärdigad av grönsten, förskriver sig från aztekisk tid och föreställer guden Quetzalcoatl. Detta blir emellertid först klart efter en ingående analys av de, symboler i hieroglyffigurer, som täcka den utsökt arbetade figuren. I sitt slag är den oöverträffad och hör till det bästa som bevarats av aztekisk religiös konst. Höjd 29,7, bredd 12,3 cm. Figuren har först presenterats av H. Fischer, "Eine altmexikanische Steinfigur" (Globus, LXXXV, 1904) och analyserats av Eduard Seler, "Das GrUnsteinidol des Stutt- garter Museums" (Gesammelte Abhandlungen, Band 3, sid. 392-40 Berlin 1908). Die Klause Kastel ist ein Landesdenkmal in Rheinland-Pfalz und wurde von Mönchen in die Felswand aus Sandstein geschlagen. Die Ursprünge der Klause gehen auf das 13. Jh. und die Kreuzzüge zurück. Die Klause, die bis heute erhalten geblieben ist, ist dem preußischen König Friedrich Wilhelm IV zu verdanken, der durch den preußischen Baumeister Karl-Friedrich von Schinkel ein Grabmal für den blinden Böhmenkönig Johann errichten ließ.

The Kastel hermitage is a state monument in Rhineland-Palatinate and was carved into the sandstone rock face by monks. The origins of the Klause date back to the 13th century and the Crusades. The hermitage, which has been preserved until today, is owed to the Prussian King Frederick William IV, who had the Prussian master builder Karl-Friedrich von Schinkel build a tomb for the blind Bohemian King John.

Klause Kastel-Staadt

Dieser Schwellbalkenbau wurde auf einem Fundament aus großen Steinen erbaut. Die Bauhölzer dafür wurden mit Dechsel und hobelartigen Werkzeugen zugerichtet, wobei die Ständer mit Zapfen in Schlitzen und Nuten eingelassen und durch Streben gesichert wurden. Die Wände sind in Riegelbauweise ausgeführt worden.

Fh_3D_Scan_Mörser

The chapel on Kreuzberg in Falkenstein is part of a small religious complex centered around the so-called Calvary Hill above the village. This area was designed as a place of worship and symbolically represents Christ’s path of suffering to Golgotha. Along the path are stone figures and stations that depict the Stations of the Cross, making the site particularly suited for quiet reflection and religious walks.

The complex also includes a simple chapel, often referred to as the Communion Chapel, which forms the spiritual center of this Kreuzberg area. It blends into the rocky landscape and is closely connected to other religious elements, such as a nearby Marian grotto. Overall, Kreuzberg and its chapel convey a sense of popular piety and religious tradition, as has been cultivated in the Weinviertel region for centuries.
