On a Sunday in May, I visited the Botanical Garden. I liked the combination of plants, metal frames and fogged glasses.

Stylized Mangrove Greenhouse

This large eagle once stood atop the old First National Bank in downtown Sioux Falls. When the building was demolished during urban renewal, this eagle and a pair of bas-relief panels of Native Americans were salvaged. They are all at street level at the west entrance to the current bank.

The eagle is carved from Indiana limestone, in the Art Deco style, and dates from about 1929. It has stylistic simularities to other eagles carved from the same limestone. Possibly it was based on a modified generic pattern used repeatedly for various architectural sculptures.

This eagle is a beloved local landmark on Phillips Avenue, in downtown Sioux Falls, SD.

*'A devotee might pray to Amoghasiddhi to overcome envy and greed, attempting to transform these emotions into the wisdom of accomplishment. He is one of the five cosmic Buddhas who are crowned and wear jewel ornaments. Associated with the color green and the elements of wind and air, Amoghasiddhi is believed to occupy the northern section of the five directions. His right hand is raised in the “have no fear” gesture. This sculpture is part of an elegant group of bronzes, probably from western Tibet, that displays masterful craftsmanship and stylistic links to Indian sculpture from the Pala period (700s to 1100s CE).'*

Tibetan Amoghasiddhi Buddha, 13th C CE

Low poly model of classic american hot rod inspired by 33's. This is an updated version of my old model. I have long wanted to make a number of stylistic changes, and in the end there were too many of them, so I uploaded in the new model separately.
I cut off the lower rear end panel, lowered the roof and redesigned the frame. The model has a new front and rear suspension, and new simple interior. The front axle was lowered, and car now have Fast Five style rims on white-wall tires.

I unconditionally give you permission to use this model at your discretion, modify it or implement it into a digital product. Use the model as you see fit and have a nice day.

Coupe '33 Hot Rod #2 - Low poly model

This [bench](https://samlingar.shm.se/object/2781868E-47C0-4503-8EB9-1E791045C055) from [Kungsåra Church](https://bit.ly/37RVQ6S) in Västmanland is probably Sweden's oldest complete furniture. It is on stylistic basis dated between 11th and 12th Century. Both construction and ornaments resemble 9th century artifacts in Norwegian finds from Gokstad and Oseberg. It is possible that the bench was originally part of a profane context and only much later ended up in Kungsåra Church.

The Kungsåra Bench

"La Manola" is the colloquial name for a sculptural fountain made of cast iron, approximately 3.20 meters high, located in the central area of the Parterre gardens, in the vicinity of the church of Santa María in the town of Daimiel (Ciudad Real, Spain). This composition was manufactured in the Mac Naughtan Bros foundry in the city of Glasgow based in Valencia, being installed in Daimiel in 1891.

The figure represents an upright young woman with her head slightly tilted to the right side of her. She is half-naked, dressed only by a cloth that partially covers her body. She presents her hair gathered and ornamented with a flowery crown. On her right shoulder he carries a cornucopia, while in her left hand he holds a bouquet of various flowers. The sculpture sits on a wide open-profile cup, decorated on its external face by bearded male masks. The iconographic attributes of her infer, although with a certain stylistic uncertainty, that she could represent the goddess Fortuna of the Roman world.

This is a small project I have been slowly piecing together with a combination of lunch break hours while at work.

This asset was modelling in 3dsmax and sculpted in zbrush, textured in Substance Painter & rendered in Marmoset Toolbag 2. Additional clean up on the model (flame effects) were done in photoshop.

This project was a small exercise to play around with stylistic art with a more realistic surface quality.

Mireys Cute Gas Stove

A small (36cm) wooden monk sculpture in the collection of the Minneapolis Institute of Art.
From the sculpture's description on artsmia.org:
'Shown in the gesture of discourse or expounding the law (vitarka mudra), this monk has been rendered with particular sensitivity and with a minimum of detail. The statue relates closely in size, style and surface condition to four priest statues remaining in Far Eastern temples. Scholarship now shows that the group, once thought to be Japanese in origin, is actually Chinese and that the ultimate stylistic source for the sculpture is rooted in Tang dynasty sculpture (618-907).'

Gothic Fantasy Cross

Polychrome plate decorated with the image of an underworld fish, painted in red and surrounded by six oval elements with central grooves, possibly representing aquatic elements. NAA of the paste indicates the San Pedro River as the place of origin or manufacture, although stylistically the piece corresponds to the La Corona region.

A stylistic walking stick with an eagle shaped handle.

What The Heck Walking Stick

Small polychrome vessel (orange, black, red) decorated with a procession of three supernatural figures in animal forms. All three wear a red scarf, which identifies them as way or wahyis (supernatural alter egos).
Two of them wear jaguar masks with open eyes, flat noses, and open jaws displaying teeth. The third figure wears a tapir mask with open eyes and an open, tilted snout. Stylistically, the vessel correlates with Tikal; however, NAA of the paste indicates Motul de San José as the place of origin or manufacture.

Vase Depicting a Procession Scene

Rock 25 is situated nearly at the centre of the area and is dominated in its central part by a group of striking warriors rushing against each other.  Near them, many smaller figures can be seen.  The stylistic aspect of these big human figures clearly distinguish them from all other anthropomorphic figures in the western valley side and is unique to this rock.

Yellowstone Lake, Wyoming

This finely carved stone sculpture depicts the head of a youthful male figure, possibly a noble or a representation of the Maize God. The figure features slanted eyes, an aquiline nose, and hair tied upward, adorned with a feathered headdress, circular earspools, and a headband. The stepped fringe is particularly notable, a stylistic trait associated with sites along the Usumacinta River (Mexico and Guatemala).

Elegant Biedermeier Bonnet

Chamá style polychrome vase with a composite silhouette, decorated with a procession of four warriors in left profile and painted black. All of them dressed with feathers and carrying spears. Each character is associated with a vertical secondary text, with glyphs painted white and outlined in black. Paste analysis by NAA indicates a possible place of manufacture in the areas around Chamá, Chixoy, and highlands of the  Motagua River Valley. Stylistically it is related to the Alta Verapaz region, between Chamá and Nebaj, Quiché.

Chamá Vase with Warriors

Anthropomorphic figurine representing a seated figure with legs crossed in front and arms at the sides. The figure may represent a scribe, as he holds a shell palette in his right hand. He wears a brimmed hat, a necklace with a pectoral, round ear ornaments, and a loincloth with a belt knotted at the front. Of particular note is the hairstyle, worn loose and long to the ears, which does not appear to correspond stylistically to known pre-Hispanic conventions, suggesting that the upper portion of the head may have been modified in modern times.

Figurine

This rock is in a small, boggy area with a number of small pools within basins in the rock surface created by the same glacial action that has smoothed the rock surface.

The engraved area is characterised by the isolated figure of a hut and of an inscription in the local pre-Roman alphabet.  These two elements, placed at the same height frame several figures: armed humans, sometimes in sigle combat, horsemen,horses, a bird, unidentifiable signs.  Noteworthy due to its rarity in Valcamonica art, is the duel between a horseman and a foot warrior armed with a large shield with a central boss (top centre).

The inscription, whose letters derive from the north-Etruscan alphabet, can be dated to between the fifth & first century BC.  The numerous human figures, partially overlapping, show examples of various Iron Age stylistic variations - accurate, Etruscan influenced figures from the VI to V century BC, to schematic, square-bodied figures with a fairly rigid posture from the final phases of the Iron Age.

Valcamonica, Seradina 2 - Rock 21

The cemetery cross in Breitenfurt near Vienna, also known as the “Giuliani Cross,” is a Baroque stone crucifix located in the cemetery of the former poorhouse at Stelzerbergstraße 15. The cross depicts Christ crucified in an expressive, dynamic pose typical of Baroque sculpture. The body is carefully modeled anatomically, the head with a crown of thorns tilted slightly to one side, and the loincloth falls in lively, softly worked folds. The sculptural design and emotional representation give the figure a powerful spiritual effect and make the work a high-quality example of Baroque religious art.

The crucifix was first mentioned in documents in 1736 and, based on its stylistic features, is attributed to the Venetian Baroque sculptor Giovanni Giuliani. Giuliani worked in Vienna and Lower Austria from the late 17th century onwards and had a significant influence on regional sculpture; he had particularly close ties to Heiligenkreuz Abbey, where he lived as a lay brother from 1711 and created numerous works.
