The helmet was fashioned in southern Germany circa [1540](https://bit.ly/2kdFNLr), and is unusual because it is one of the few surviving helmets adorned with a crown.

It was purchased in [Augsburg](https://bit.ly/2MwwuQc) on the King's behalf by his agent, the merchant Claus Heijder. The helmet was likely used in [Gustav Vasa's](https://bit.ly/2k10R7K) funeral procession in 1560, because a helmet adorned with a gilded crown is mentioned by a contemporary who witnessed the ceremony. The gilded crown is medieval in style – a suitable symbol of Gustav Vasa, who had one foot in the old union and one in the newly minted [hereditary monarchy](https://bit.ly/2kdG7tD).

Chichen Itza,  from Yucatec Maya: Chi'ch'èen Ìitsha'  ("at the mouth of the well of the Itza people") was a large pre-Columbian city built by the Maya people of the Terminal Classic period. The archaeological site is located in Tinúm Municipality, Yucatán State, Mexico.

Chichen Itza was a major focal point in the Northern Maya Lowlands from the Late Classic (c. AD 600–900) through the Terminal Classic (c. AD 800–900) and into the early portion of the Postclassic period (c. AD 900–1200). The site exhibits a multitude of architectural styles, reminiscent of styles seen in central Mexico and of the Puuc and Chenes styles of the Northern Maya lowlands. The presence of central Mexican styles was once thought to have been representative of direct migration or even conquest from central Mexico, but most contemporary interpretations view the presence of these non-Maya styles more as the result of cultural diffusion

Chichen Itza Pyramid 3D Reconstruction

**Welcome to [The Hallwyl Museum](https://hallwylskamuseet.se/en/) in Stockholm, Sweden.**

Once the home of [Walther](https://goo.gl/79nUeT) and [Wilhelmina von Hallwyl](https://goo.gl/Y8iiJs).

This room was built for Wilhelmina von Hallwyl's collection of European porcelain. Almost all manufacturers of porcelain in the 18th and early 19th century are represented here. The collection consists of more than 500 objects, with pieces from [Meissen](https://goo.gl/jZbQ7q), [Sèvres](https://goo.gl/zUohNG) and [Wedgwood](https://goo.gl/RN1WRm), to name a few.

The collection contains both service sets and figurines. It gives us a good overview of the production of the period in general. In this way it deviates from many contemporary collections that often focused on one category of objects.

The Porcelain Room

[Medieval 2 Total War - Machiavello mod](http://www.twcenter.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?2240-Machiavello-Total-War-(MachTW)) | Model for an Aragonese Infantry. Around mid-XV century, a number of Iberian soldiers followed [Alfonso V](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alfonso_V_of_Aragon) in his conquest of the Kingdom of Naples. They usually had a shield - usually an [Adarga](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adarga) - a couple of javelins and a lance, as well as a sword or knife, and on the head a hat, cap or helmet. Contemporary sources depicts them with brigandine or haubergeon, sometime having pieces of leg armour, relatively lightly armoured in respect to heavier Italian counterparts, but more dedicated to a proactive assault role, forerunner of the sword-and-buckler infantry later developed in Spain.

As a stunning new take on a legendary racing car, the new Ford GT supercar was launched in the summer of 2004, to commemorate the company's 100th anniversary. As a reinterpretation of the classic 1960's GT40 that won four straight 24 Hours of Le Mans races, this new version featured the latest and greatest automotive technology. With that in mind, Gran Turismo decided to make a good thing even better by creating its own Ford GT to contemporary Le Mans specs. We call it the Ford GT LM Race Car.

The powertrain remains the same as that found in the production Ford GT, a supercharged 5.4-liter DOHC V8, mounted amidships behind the seats. But the 550 HP output from the stock version has been boosted to a whopping 592 HP in this race-car model. A 6-speed manual race-spec gearbox has also been added.

This mask was made as a study. The design is entirely my own, based on ancient as well as contemporary stylings.

Excellent torpedo protection, well-armored flight deck and powerful AA defenses made Midway-class ships virtually invulnerable to attacks from enemy aircraft.

Digital replica of a 1854 pattern sword of the Irish Guard, based on photo reference of both historical and contemporary examples. 

The current Brigade of Guards pattern was approved in 1854 and is based on the 1845 Infantry pattern sword. The Irish Guards sword is embossed with the regimental badge and battle honours.

Modeled in Blender, textured in Substance Painter.

**Small Triptych – Deesis **

Small folding altars made in modern and contemporary Russian studios were considered ideal for travelling. They are part of the old tradition of making metal castings, especially cultivated in modern Russia in the circle of the Old Believers (Old Ritualists). This type of metalwork is often treated as a kind of manifestation of the Old Believers’ dissimilarity in connection with the decrees of Tsar Peter I of 1722 and 1723. 

Usually, such triptychs showed the Deesis (traditional representation of Christ in Majesty), reproducing old iconographic patterns.
