The Crypt Gallery under St Pancras New Church, Euston Road, London.

The church was built in 1819-22 and the brick walled crypt stretches under the whole church. The section shown in this model is the part open to the public as an events space. However it still contains old church memorials and tombs.

Stone lion is a common object to ward off evil spirits in Chinese traditional culture. It is a sculpture with artistic value and ornamental value that stone is used as raw material to carve the image of lion. The earliest stone lion is in front of the tomb of Gaoyi in the Eastern Han Dynasty. It is a kind of decoration often used in traditional Chinese architecture. It can be seen on Chinese palaces, temples, pagodas, bridges, mansions, gardens, mausoleums and buttons. But more often, stone lions are a pair of lions placed on the left and right sides of the gate.

The location of the arc and the plaza is shared between three arrondissements, 16th (south and west), 17th (north), and 8th (east). The Arc de Triomphe honours those who fought and died for France in the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars, with the names of all French victories and generals inscribed on its inner and outer surfaces. Allée couverte du Bois-Couturier, a megalithic tomb located in Guiry-en-Vexin, France was discovered in 1915 by an agricultural worker. This ancient tomb is buried in the hillside overlooking the Aubette valley at an altitude of 132 meters. Facing south/ southeast, the burial chamber measures 7 meters long and 2 meters wide. The antechamber is short and wide measuring 1 meter by 1.85 meters. The walls, constructed of horizontal layers of limestone plates, measure 1.30 meters high. The arrangement of the limestone slabs of the roof have been disturbed, and their current position is a result of restoration.

Coffin of the Pharaoh Akenaten in the Egyptian Museum, Cairo, Egypt.

This coffin was recovered from a tomb in the Valley of the Kings in what has been designated Tomb KV55.  The tomb was discovered by Edward R. Ayrton in 1907 while working for the wealthy American Theodore M. Davis.  The tomb has been controversial since it's discovery, originally being designated the burial of Queen Tiye.  It has now been shown through DNA analysis that the remains found in the tomb are those of Akenaten himself.  The DNA has further demonstrated that Akhenaten was the father of Tutankhamen (King Tut).
The face of the coffin and the name in the cartouche have been deliberately removed in an attempt to condemn the “heretic” pharaoh in the afterlife and erase his memory.

Tu Duc's Tomb - Stele Building (CyArk Dataset)

Cuween Hill Chambered Cairn, near Finstown, Mainland, Orkney, is a late Neolithic (c.3200-2300 BC) 'Maes Howe'-type tomb.  The tomb is located on the side of the hill and the floor is cut into sandstone bedrock.  The chambers are constructed from fine dry-stone walling with corbelled roofs.  The mound measures c.55 feet in diameter and the main chamber is 8 feet 6 inches tall.

The tomb was partly excavated by James Cursiter in 1888 and more extensively investigated by Malcolm M. Charleston in 1901.  The tomb contained at least 8 burials and the skulls of 24 dogs.  The latter may have been a totemic animal, but they were probably deposited in the Bronze Age rather than the Neolithic.  The tomb sites above the Neolithic settlement site of Stonehall, which was excavated by Prof Colin Richards in the 1990s.

*Emperor Tu Duc enjoyed the longest reign of any monarch of the Nguyen dynasty, ruling from 1848-1883. Although he had 104 wives and concubines, he was unable to father a son (possibly he became sterile after contracting smallpox).
