Èze has been described as an “eagle's nest” because of its location overlooking a high cliff 427 metres (1,401 ft) above sea level on the French Mediterranean. Elle possède une très belle cour intérieure avec une balustrade de style gothique flamboyant. La tour héberge un escalier en vis. A son sommet, une sculpture représentant un vigneron rappelle les échanges commerciaux avec le proche vignoble de Marcillac.

This equestrian statue was designed by famous sculptor Auguste Bartholdi to commemorate the Gaul leader’s victory over Caesar at Gergovie, in 52 BC.
The first plans for the statue were drawn up in the 1860s but it was only finished and installed in 1903 during a ceremony presided over by the President of the Council, Emile Combes.
The exceptional talent of the sculptor, who was also the creator of the Statue of Liberty in New York, can be seen in the extraordinary vitality of the horse and rider.

Middle Kingdom Artifacts dumped by Padiamenope

The Ute Ulay Mining Complex is located along the Alpine Loop Scenic Byway just south of Lake City, Colorado. The Ute Ulay mining claims were discovered in 1871 and were one of the biggest producers of gold and silver in the San Juan Mountains. The Bureau of Land Management Gunnison Field Office has partnered with Hinsdale County to promote heritage tourism and has stabilized and preserved several structures within the mining complex. Ute Ulay was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2017.

The wooden water tank was filled by the flume from the Ute Ulay Dam. The water tank supplied water to the hydropower plant through three vertical pipes to three Leffel turbine water wheels that powered the electrical generating equipment in the power plant. The water tank was constructed in 1926 along with the dam, flume, and hydropower plant.
