The paper explores the concept of letting surgical stuff train in a virtual operating setting.
This is one of several general ORs in the Charité Campus Mitte (CCM), scanned in 2018. Shot with Nikon D3400 (500 images), reconstructed in Metashape, refined in Blender.

**Virtual Cities** started as an exhibition art piece with the aim of combining physical space with virtual reality. We assembled foam blocks within a room, mimicking an abstract simplified cityscape, which was then painted over in virtual reality using tilt brush. The result is a piece of art which attempts to transcend media. 

Visitors can put on the headset and navigate through the real space, but see an augmented version of the block layout.

It is powered by Merlin engines, also developed by SpaceX, burning liquid oxygen and rocket-grade kerosene propellants. Its name is derived from the Millennium Falcon and the nine engines of the rocket's first stage.

The "House of the Wheel" is a site of significant social importance, once serving as an institution where infants were anonymously abandoned to the care of the state or church via a revolving wooden cylinder—the "wheel". This specific section shows the granite exterior wall and the stone-framed aperture where the wheel mechanism was historically located.

Project Context:
This asset was developed as part of a doctoral research project in Design.
