Im Juli 2015 wurden in Risch-Rotkreuz ZG ein Stosszahn und verschiedene weitere Knochenfragmente (rot markiert) eines adulten Mammutbullen entdeckt. Ausweislich zweier Radiokarbondatierungen gehören die Knochen an das Ende der letzten Eiszeit bzw. in die Zeit um 15‘000 v. Chr.<br>

Naiad - Antonio Canova

*Strix varia*, or the barred owl, can be commonly found in dense forests and wooded swamps in southwestern Canada, Washington, Oregon and northern California. The barred owl is, on average 48-51 cm tall, and has a rounded-head with grey-white facial disc. Where many owls have ear tufts, the barred owl does not.

The small serrations on an owl’s primary feathers creates small vortices reducing noise from wind drag to near zero. The silent flight of owls inspired the biomimetic solution to wind noise caused by the Shinkansen Bullet Train as it travels near 350km/h. These serrations also inspired the redesign of  Ziehl-Abegg, Inc’s fan blades, reducing noise and improving energy efficiency. Barred Owl Skull

This raccoon baculum, or penis bone, has a groove near one end. This groove suggests 	that a cord was once tied around the object, probably to form a necklace. Male raccoons 	are known for their sexual aggression, which means this object may have been a fertility 	symbol. This object was recovered archaeologically from the House for Families at George Washington’s Mount Vernon. It was 3D scanned with a NextEngine Desktop 3D scanner in the archaeology laboratory at George Washington's Mount Vernon. Description by Virginia Commonwealth University student Jessica Evans. Mount Rushmore National Memorial is centered on a colossal sculpture carved into the granite face of Mount Rushmore in the Black Hills in Keystone, South Dakota. Sculptor Gutzon Borglum created the sculpture's design and oversaw the project's execution from 1927 to 1941 with the help of his son, Lincoln Borglum. The sculpture features the 60-foot (18 m) heads of Presidents George Washington (1732–1799), Thomas Jefferson (1743–1826), Theodore Roosevelt (1858–1919) and Abraham Lincoln (1809–1865), as recommended by Borglum. George Washington Bust

This head of the Buddha, once framed by a halo and joined to a complete figure, would have been worshipped in a monastic shrine. The facial features and wavy hair show the Greek and Roman influences that arose through trade contacts with ancient Gandhara, an area now divided between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

*Arion rufus* the Roundback slug is a species found Natively throughout Western and Souther Europe. Their present distribution in the United States spans from California, Maine, Michigan, New York, Oregon, Washington, and Wisconsin. 

They are large and bulky with long, course tubercles on the side and back. When contracted, the body resembles that of a bell. The species complex can only be differentiated by dissecting the genitalia.

On the night of June 20th, 2020, a statue of George Washington at Druid Hill Park in Baltimore was covered with red house paint and white graffiti.

🗽On September 24 2025, a provocative statue titled *Best Friends Forever* appeared on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., depicting President Donald Trump and the late Jeffrey Epstein holding hands and dancing. Installed by the anonymous art collective “The Secret Handshake,” the bronze-painted figures stood on white pedestals near the Capitol, accompanied by a plaque celebrating their “long-standing bond” in honor of Friendship Month.
The statue sparked immediate controversy, blending satire with political critique. Though it had a temporary permit from the National Park Service, it was removed within 24 hours for violating permit terms. The installation reignited public discourse around Trump’s past ties to Epstein, drawing attention from media, officials, and passersby alike. Despite its brief presence, *Best Friends Forever* left a lasting impression on the intersection of art, politics, and public memory.
