The Doom Slayer is the protagonist and playable character of Doom, Doom II: Hell on Earth, Final Doom, Doom 64, Doom (2016), Quake Champions, Quake III Arena and Doom Eternal (and possibly Doom 3 ). He is also known by the UAC as DM1-5, DOOM Marine or The Slayer, and by the Demons of Hell as the Doom Slayer, the Unchained Predator, the Beast or the Hell Walker. Depending on the version of the character, his real name or aliases include William Joseph "B.J" Blazkowicz and Flynn Taggart. He is known in the flashback subtitles as Doomguy.

Countess Wilhelmina von Hallwyl was a keen collector of Dutch and Flemish artworks of the Golden Age.

The Picture Gallery

This is an animation of an adult female **Great Hammerhead Shark** (Sphyrna mokarran) that was reconstructed from multiple cameras arranged around a dive in South Bimini, Bahamas in February 2020.  Casey Sapp coordinated all videography.  Kevin Davidson kindly contributed useful reference photos.

CG artist **Jer Bot** used the software Blender to align these camera views to reconstruct the accurate shape and color of **Nemesis** (PIT tag 900236000107365), which had an estimated length of 329 cm based on laser photogrammetry.  Nemesis commonly frequents dive spots near Bimini and is well-known to divers and scientists from the Bimini shark lab (www.biminisharklab.com).

The **ANGARI Foundation** (www.angari.org) coordinated and supported this research, along with Sean Williams, Ken Morton, Jonathan and Jameson Bayuk, Annabelle Brooks, and Vital Heim.

This building at Skara Brae, Sandwick, Orkney dates from the late Neolithic (c.2900-2400 cal BC) and was the home to stone age farmers . This structure, known as House 1, was discovered after a storm in 1850.  The local laird William Watt excavated this building in the 1850s and1860s discovering a wealth of stone and bone tools.  

Following erosion in the 1920s a defensive sea wall was constructed and Prof. Vere Gordon Childe undertook further excavations.

The walls of this building survive over two metres high and the stone furniture remains in place.   A hearh lies at the centre of the building and a large 'dresser' faces the one metre high door.  The boxes around the sides of the room are bed compartments, which would have been lined with animal skins.  The small stone boxes were used for storage.

Pan sp. - Chimpanzee. DUNUC 2404 & 2404/1. Length=15cm. Acquired by D'Arcy Thompson from William Cross of Liverpool in 1886. Writing to his grandfather, D'Arcy noted: “I yesterday received a chimpanzee, one of the most manlike of apes; it is the rarest and most valuable specimen I have yet had... One of the young Doctors came and helped me to remove its brain at 11 o’clock at night. It was in beautiful condition. I shall be able to make a whole series of preparations besides cleaning the skeleton and stuffing the skin.” The stuffed skin and the brain are also still in the museum.

Scanned with a Nikon XT H 225ST micro CT scanner. The resulting file is exported as an stl. and imported in to Zbrush. Texture is added from photographs using the Spotlight function and Polypainting.

She also plays a role in Five Nights at Freddy's AR: Special Delivery.

The model is a bit messy due to the refective wooden surfaces and bright lighting through the windows. It has therefore been heavily cleaned up around the banisters and windows.

The passenger steamer Norrtelje was built in 1900 at the William Lindberg shipyard in Stockholm. Her designer was Ernst Hemberg. For many years, the ship served the Stockholm–Furusund–Norrtälje route and was a regular sight in the Stockholm archipelago. Since 1968, she is anchored in Norrtälje harbour as a museum ship and restaurant. Donnington Castle is a ruined medieval castle, situated in the small village of Donnington, just north of the town of Newbury in the English county of Berkshire. It was founded by Sir Richard Abberbury the Elder in 1386 and was bought by Thomas Chaucer before the castle was taken under royal control during the Tudor period. During the First English Civil War the castle was held by the royalist Sir John Boys and withstood an 18-month siege; after the garrison eventually surrendered, Parliament voted to demolish Donnington Castle in 1646. Only the gatehouse survives. The site is under the care of English Heritage and is protected from unauthorised change as a scheduled ancient monument. The 19th century western constellations are projected on the earth for navigation references.
By building your city under the projected trajectory of a star at a specific time. Now you can navigate, from land to sea, and from city to city.  By checking the map you can still see that some cities have been founded with this principle in mind. This was the antiquity GPS system. far more reliable than the modern one. This is why the medieval astrological projections are inverted. Because it is not to document the sky, but to document the "where about" on earth. By also knowing the cyclic derivation of a selected star (around 15 meters par year), you can also deduce the date of the city foundation as long as you have the correct data.
