The sculptured Dendera zodiac (or Denderah zodiac) is a widely known Egyptian bas-relief from the ceiling of the pronaos (or portico) of a chapel dedicated to Osiris in the Hathor temple at Dendera, containing images of Taurus (the bull) and Libra (the scales). This chapel was begun in the late Ptolemaic period; its pronaos was added by the emperor Tiberius. This led Jean-François Champollion to date the relief to the Greco-Roman period, but most of his contemporaries believed it to be of the New Kingdom.

The relief, which John H. Rogers characterised as "the only complete map that we have of an ancient sky", has been conjectured in the past to represent the basis on which later astronomy systems were based.

Dendera Zodiac - Louvre

It has been a year since I uploaded my first model to Sketchfab. There were many things came to me last year and this is an ideal time to forget about them, chill out and play poker.

Interesting, the symbols in Vietnamese Zodiac this year is the Cat unlike the other countries which are the Rabbit. It inspired me to create new product in this holliday. By the way, Happy Lunar New Year ✧(ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*.✧

The globe has a round, Dutch-type base, equipped with a compass (the needle and the glass plate are missing) with the rose of the winds on the dial. The names of the directions are abbreviated, and north is marked with a fleur-de-lys. The globe’s horizon is made of wood and has an octagonal shape. It is supported by four legs turned in wood. The globe is 7–9 cm wide, with each side having the length of about 20 cm. Attached to the wood is a paper layer made of four parts. It depicts the azimuth, zodiac (degrees and symbols), as well as Julian and Gregorian calendars. All the elements are given Latin names. The cardinal and intermediate directions of the world are described in German.

Celestial globe

A statue of the Chinese Zodiac Ox. Carved Out of Granodiorite. The Statue resides at the Kek Lok Si Buddhist Temple in Penang. It is located on the upper terrace of the temple, near the 30m tall statue of Kuan Yin.

Just don't look at the horrible texture on its belly :P

This is a PAPP-generated ceramic medallion built as a manufacturable low bas-relief rather than a standard chakra disc. 
On a 120×240 polar mesh, the script composes a central Divyadvāra sigil from a dodecagram of 4 equilateral triangles, a Vesica Piscis mandorla, 12 zodiacal petal-rays, a double zodiac ring with 12 markers, 24 radial web spokes, halo ripples, and a bindu. 
The border adds a hybrid annular signature: a 24-fold Ripple Crown plus a 12-petal Lotus Garland, while the outer lip is flattened for clean demoulding. Height is computed from weighted domain fields, 12-fold PAPP density, spectral modulation, seam subtraction, radial envelope, center taper, and 8-step terracing, then extruded into a closed body. 
Verified mesh: 57,170 vertices, 114,336 faces, watertight, χ=2.
