Destroyed cars

The Great Chamber at The Charterhouse, London.
It was created as a grand second floor space by Sir Edward North in the mid 16th Century. Queen Elizabeth I stayed at The Charterhouse for five days in 1558 and the early meetings of her Privy Council were almost certainly held in the Great Chamber.

Later The Chaterhouse was bought by Thomas Howard (The Duke of Norfolk) and was also known as Howard House. The Duke of Norfolk redecorated the Great Chamber and installed the chimneypiece, ceiling and north west window bay in the 1570s.

Most of the ceiling was destroyed in a fire in 1941. The part in the window bay is original whereas the rest is a 1950s replica.

City Ruins Environment

Qumran is an archaeological site in the West Bank managed by Israel's Qumran National Park. It is located on a dry plateau about 1.5 km (1 mi) from the northwestern shore of the Dead Sea, near the Israeli settlement and kibbutz of Kalya. The Hellenistic period settlement was constructed during the reign of John Hyrcanus, 134–104 BCE or somewhat later, and was occupied most of the time until it was destroyed by the Romans in 68 CE or shortly after. It is best known as the settlement nearest to the Qumran Caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were hidden, caves in the sheer desert cliffs and beneath, in the marl terrace. The principal excavations at Qumran were conducted by Roland de Vaux in the 1950s, though several later unearthings at the site have since been carried out.

The battle of Kyiv was part of the Kyiv offensive in the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine for control of Kyiv, the capital city of Ukraine, and surrounding districts. The combatants were elements of the Russian Armed Forces and Ukrainian Ground Forces. The battle lasted from 25 February 2022 to 2 April 2022 and ended with the withdrawal of Russian forces.

World Trade Center is the original complex that once stood in New York from the start of construction in 1966 groundbreaking, until they were destroyed on September 11, 2001. The complex was opened to public on April 4, 1974; although some buildings were not built or completed yet at the time. It consisted of 7 buildings, the famous being were the twin towers that were once the world's tallest buildings for only 2 years when they were surpassed by Willis (Sears) Tower. Of course, these twin towers ended the Empire State Building's 40 year reign. The old 7 World Trade Center was the last building to be built in that complex, which was built in 1987 and the last building to fall on 9/11 about 7 hours after the North Tower (tower with antenna) fell. The North Tower (1 WTC) was 1,368 feet tall and 1,728 feet with the antenna, while the South Tower (2 WTC) was 1,362 feet tall. They were very famous and appeared in many movie films, they were also an icon of New York City.

Consuegra Castle is a fortress of Islamic origin located in the town of Consuegra, the ancient Roman city
of Consabura. It passed into Christian hands around the year 1090, but
after the battle of Consuegra it was recovered by Islamic troops.
In the 12th century it was finally conquered by Christian troops. For
its better defense, King Alfonso VIII donated the castle in 1183 to
the Military Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, which made it its main
fortress in the region. During the Peninsular War (1808–1814) it was
occupied by French troops who partially destroyed it in their retreat.

Currently the castle is owned by the Consuegra City Council, being one
of the most visited monuments in Castilla-La Mancha.

I got permission for scanning in a local junkyard, the lighting wasn't the best, but I went to scope it out anyway. I'll have to go back in the winter when there is less foliage, I did manage to snag a few decent scans, but they'll be free because of the poor lighting conditions

Shurijo castle is a Ryukyuan gusuku in Shuri, Okinawa. Between 1429 and 1879, it was the palace of the Ryukyu Kingdom, before becoming largely neglected. In 1945, during the Battle of Okinawa, it was almost completely destroyed. After the war, the castle was re-purposed as a university campus. Beginning in 1992, the central citadel and walls were largely reconstructed on the original site based on historical records, photographs, and memory. On the morning of 31 October 2019, the main courtyard structures of the castle were destroyed in a fire.

Shuri Castle / Shurijō, Naha - Okinawa .WIP

This model represents the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-A (NOT the 1701 refit seen on TMP). She is in her final configuration as seen on Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country. I textured her like the 1701 refit. Then overlayed the 1701-A aztec. The "paint job" is as close as i could get to the ILM re-paint of the 7ft studio model. ILM repainted the original studio model several times over, and destroyed her original pearlescent finish as seen on TMP. The final result is very dull, and lusterless. Despite that you can still see "some" of the original paint job. Is she perfect? Hell No! There is always room for improvement. Plus it's a low poly gaming model (almost 30k in triangles). Right now i consider her "close enough". Again she is meant to be rendered in Full View. Not extremely close up. Too many low poly flaws.

Destroyed Car 06 (Raw Scan)

This is the old Polygraph Printing machines manufacturing facility in Leipzig Leutzsch. Built in 1910, this facility was used to produce printing machines that got sold all over the world until the wall came down in 1989. After that it was closed and a fire destroyed part of the building. I scanned the building with a Mavic 2 Pro, used RealityCapture to compute a 30 Million and a 300K Poly Version and then moved the Detail from High to Low via Normal Maps. This building was tricky as the side with the text was behind trees. Shooting in Winter let me get rid of most of them but to use it in Production I would probably add trees again on that side. Roughness maps were created and edited via ShaderMap4.

Abandoned Building: Polygraphenwerk Leipzig

The Herculaneum boat was found during excavation work on the ancient shoreline of Herculaneum in 1982. It was found inverted on the shoreline, with the fore of the boat having been stoved in by other timber and debris from the eruption and completely destroyed. The hot pyroclastic flows that hit herculaneum carbonized the other 2/3rds of the boat and buried it, preserving it to this day. The vessel is 8.6 m long, 2.2 m wide, and about 85 cm deep. It was preserved up to the oarlocks, and most of the sternpost was preserved. After removing the boat from the shoreline, it sat in storage for awhile until a method was designer of flipping it over and excavating the inside. The boat is now on display at Herculaneum, along with other nautical equipment found on the shore including oars and a rudder fragment from other boats (but used here). The boat is yet to be fully published, the main resource for this reconstruction was an unpublished 2005 paper by Richard Steffy: https://tinyurl.com/mr2nzm7x
