This magnificent armour made [King Erik XIV](https://bit.ly/2XHLbZ0) of Sweden look imposingly triumphant. In true renaissance spirit, the motifs on the armour were borrowed from ancient myths, the characteristics of which lent themselves perfectly to the Swedish history and national symbols of that time.

The armour was probably made in [Arboga](https://bit.ly/2FQKrGy), Sweden, around 1562, from where it was sent to Antwerp in Belgium to be decorated by the goldsmith Elisaeus Libaerts. The opaque gilt ornamentation has been [repousséd](https://bit.ly/2xuxmy0) from the back and chased from the front. 

Perhaps the armour was worn by King Erik XIV on 2 October 1564 when, following a military campaign in [Blekinge](https://bit.ly/2KUVNNQ) in the South of Swedan, he returned to Stockholm with his military entourage. Whilst winding its way through the streets of Stockholm, the procession was showcasing chained prisoners of war from Denmark, a motif that can also be found on the armour.

My fifteenth model I am uploading in regards to my entry for the competition: “Explorer of new worlds” (http://forum.humster3d.com/showthread.php?tid=76) is a further developed version of the Pegasus (I know I am a serious amount behind schedule but I put too much emphasis on the models I shall upload today. And life has been far too busy to allow me enough free time).
As much as history claims that together with Chrysaor; Pegasus was born via her beading: I have had already stated that I was going for depicting "Clash of the Titans" of my childhood that of which was but loosely based on the myths of hero Perseus. Never claiming to be historically accurate.
I wasted TOO much time designing where the feathers should fit (Surprisingly time consuming). I'll go into detailing them soon after.

The oaks (Quercus) are a genus of plants in the beech family (Fagaceae). In ancient religions, myths and legends, the oak was a sacred tree. All parts of the oak are slightly poisonous because of the tannins they contain. The fruits (acorns) are rich in carbohydrates and proteins and were used for fattening pigs.

Pit is the main protagonist of the Kid Icarus franchise. He first appeared in Kid Icarus for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1986, followed by an appearance in Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters for the Game Boy in 1991. Other than a handful of cameos, Pit didn't make another major appearance until the release of Super Smash Bros. Brawl in 2008, and again in the 2012 Nintendo 3DS title Kid Icarus: Uprising.

Located in the northern wall of the chancel of Strade Dominican Priory (MA070-067001-), Co. Mayo. This 15th-century wall monument is one of the finest surviving examples of its type in Ireland. At the base of the arch on the western side is a carving of a lion with tail between its legs,  rising above the body of the animal where it ends in a bushy tail.  In medieval Christianity, the lion was a complex, dual-natured symbol, primarily representing Christ’s power, resurrection, and royal authority but also, paradoxically, the danger of the devil or fierce, untamed power. Bestiaries popularized myths about lions resurrecting cubs, mirroring Christ's resurrection.  Lions were thought to sleep with eyes open, symbolizing Christ’s ever-watchful nature and divinity during his human death on the cross. Lions were frequently carved on church portals to represent protectors, guarding sacred spaces or representing Christ’s triumph over evil. It is with pleasure that I present my large and last indefinitely work, inspired by the mythology and works of Howard Philip Lovecraft. The starting point was a documentary about the writer's life, which described his small room in New York. That's exactly what I've depicted here, only in the prism of HPL optics)
