The Edgefield Pottery Collection is a collection of historic vessels with a variety of shapes, sizes, forms, and uses. A jigger mold was used to quickly mass produce these Albany-Slipware style stackers and jugs. The vessels in the Edgefield Pottery Collection did not pass their quality inspection when they were made and were discarded into a ‘waster pile’.

Bolle kan van geglazuurd steengoed met schouder overgaand in hoge cilindrische hals, op standvoet en met verticaal lintoor; zoutglazuur met ijzerengobe; 3 medaillons: wapen van Dietrich von Buninghaus, en decoratief ornament met twee engelen; het jaartal 1604 in medaillon; type S2-kan-84; afmetingen diameter 15,5 cm, hoogte 26,0 cm; inventarisnr. HOO-498-108-C07; vondstlocatie beerput S114-1 (1638-1675); productieplaats Raeren.
Gevonden tijdens een archeologische opgraving uitgevoerd door Archeologie West-Friesland, in een beerput die in de zeventiende eeuw (1638-1675) werd gebruikt door de familie Sonck te Hoorn.

A stoneware jug from the Edgefield Pottery Collection. This is a chicken watering jug, which was filled by holding the handle at the top and dunking the entire jug into a water source. The jug would then be filled with water, and ready for chickens to drink from the resivoir at the bottom.
