Arachne was once a mortal weaver of unparalleled skill, but she became prideful and arrogant from all the praise she received for her work. She later challenged Athena to a contest to see who was truly the best weaver. Though there were different variations of the story of the contest, there was one similarity shared by all: Athena ended up transforming Arachne into the first spider and made her immortal. She then became the Goddess of challenge, spiders, and weaving. Hence, Arachne's name came to mean "spider" in Greek.

Question to participants/Sketchfab staff: I couldn't find anywhere in the rules that I can't do it, but I noticed no other participants use it - Am I allowed to have a custom background? Or does it count as post-processing? 

Eeey, I participated in the challenge :D It was quite fun to make. I thought of this idea that what if Athena in her fury, wanted Arachne to suffer as much as possible and instead of instantly transforming her into a spider, took her sweet time and tortured Arachne by slowly corrupting her entire body and turning it into something hideous. 

I tried to go for a bit different palette ( fantasy exotic-like spiders) than what you would expect from the usual spiders, to see how that would turn out. It was really fun!

The Apollo Intensa Emozione: Void-Eater Edition is a structural paradox. It represents a "System Malfunction" in traditional automotive design, replacing clean lines with aggressive, insect-inspired organic geometry. This 780HP V12 monster is reimagined through a Black Institutional lens, transforming it from a hypercar into a predatory "Void-Tech" artifact.

The primary hull is draped in Obsidian Purple Carbon (#12001A), a finish that maintains a high-gloss 0.03 Roughness. This deep, crystalline purple acts as a "Dark-Matter" shell, absorbing light in the shadows while flashing a bruised, metallic violet under high-intensity LEDs. This is contrasted by the dry, 0.15 Roughness Satin Black used for the complex aerodynamic fins and the massive "Whale-Tail" rear wing, creating a tactile "Glitch" between different carbon weaves.

Apollo IE - Purple Dragon

LOKA 02: Bhuvar (Atmospheric Plane) is the V2 “cable-relief” disc of the LOKA series, encoding Kolam threshold geometry as thick ritual cords over a nearly flat floor. 

The pattern is generated from analytic symmetric rose-curve weaving on a pulli grid (rigorous C₄ symmetry): a central mandala, 7 concentric weave rings, 24 weave bridges, and an outer border garland.

Dual Element Hexweaver

I finally got around to rigging my "Weaver" character model and also redid her colours while I was at it.
I originally intended to delete V1 or replace the model on it with this newer version but the first version seemed to have received quite a number of unexpected traction and downloads, so to avoid confusion I decided not to delete it and instead upload V2 separately.
Modeling and rigging done in Autodesk Maya. Textures hand-painted using Paint Tool SAI and Adobe Photoshop.
