Prolactin (Prl)
Prl-producing cells are mainly concentrated in the rostral pars distalis (RPD). In teleosts, prolactin is especially important for osmoregulation and other physiological processes. In this model, Prl cells are shown in orange.
**How to interact:** rotate by dragging, zoom with the mouse wheel, and click on the annotations to explore specific anatomical regions and hormonal cell populations.
**Methods (summary):** anatomical segmentation was guided by histology and immunohistochemistry for Prl, Gh, Acth/Pomc, Tsh, Fsh, Lh, Sl, and α-Msh. The 3D reconstruction was developed in Blender and exported in glTF format for web visualization.
