Cattle are large, domesticated, cloven-hooved herbivores. They are a prominent modern member of the subfamily Bovinae and the most widespread species of the genus Bos. Adult female cattle are referred to as cows and adult male cattle are referred to as bulls.

Hore Abbey is a ruined Cistercian monastery near the Rock of Cashel, County Tipperary, Ireland. It was founded by the Benedictine order in 1266. This model includes both the exterior and interior spaces, generated using a combination of aerial and ground photography (1500 images total). 

Most of the abbey was built in the thirteenth century, however many changes were made to the buildings in the fifteenth century including the addition of the tower in the centre of the transept. The cruciform church comprised, in addition to the chancel, a nave with aisles and two chapels to the east of each transept. The nave is exceptionally plain and the overall design is a perfect example of the conservative approach of the Cistercians. Hore was the only Cistercian monastery in Ireland where the cloister was positioned to the north of the abbey.  The ruins are now surrounded by fields of sheep and cattle and can be accessed by the public.

The horn of Salt Diggers Brotherhood of Wieliczka is a unique Renaissance work of art commemorating the past wealth of Kraków salt mines. It is the only historical object of its kind preserved in Poland – a genuine horn of the aurochs, an ancestor of present-day cattle (the species became extinct in Poland in the 17th century). Framed in silver, it features a number of precisely executed metalwork techniques. Weighing almost 3 kilos, it was created in Kraków in 1534. The figure shown in the horn’s base is a salt miner, depicted as Hercules wearing antique armour. This representation symbolically emphasises the hard work of the Wieliczka salt diggers, excavating the precious mineral for hundreds of years.

This rock was long known by local inhabitants as the 'Puppet Stone' in reference to the carvings upon it.  The main facing containing most of the engravings is badly damaged, especially the lower part, which remained underground for a long time.

To date over 150 engravings have been identified, including many animals, a dagger and a ploughing scene.  The animals include; stags with large antlers, fawns, chamois with short, hooked horns, ibex with backward-fgacing horns and swine (wild boars & pigs).  The canids, depicted in groups with downward-pointing tails, are interpreted as a pack of wolves.  The cattle, without horns or tails, may represent young oxen or cows grazing.

The presence of daggers which closely resemble finds from the graveyard of Remedello Sotto, dates most of the figures to 2900-2500 BC.  A few animals depicted in a dynamic style, similar to that of figures on the Cemmo 3 & 4 stelae, may be attributed to the Bell Beaker Culture (2500-2200 BC).

Modeled from images of a real specimen. The Aurochs (Bos primigenius) was a large, wild ancestor of modern domestic cattle, once widespread across Europe, Asia, and North Africa. It declined due to overhunting, habitat loss, and competition with domesticated livestock, eventually becoming extinct in 1627 when the last known individual died in Poland. Historical accounts describe its imposing size, long horns, and significant role in early human cultures. Base model created with AI tools, then sculpted/edited in Blender for scientific accuracy.

Aurochs Skull

This 3D model represents the reproductive system of the Indian cattle leech (Hirudinaria granulosa), a hermaphroditic annelid belonging to Class Hirudinea. Each individual possesses both male and female reproductive organs, but reproduction usually occurs through cross-fertilization between two leeches.

The male reproductive system includes multiple pairs of testes, vas deferens, seminal vesicles, and a male genital pore for sperm transfer.
The female reproductive system consists of ovaries, oviducts, and a female genital pore.

After fertilization, the leech secretes a cocoon from the clitellum, where the eggs develop outside the body until hatching.

This model is useful for studying annelid reproduction, hermaphroditism, and invertebrate anatomy.

This model was generated from 151 images taken with an Olynpus TG-6 camera, using Agisoft Metashpe software at Medium Resolution. Since bveing recordd in detail in 2008, the vessel has been show to be gradullaly accreting estuarine silts. There are three wooden vessels are of differing sizes in the vicinity - this being the largest. This has led to an interpretation that the three correspond to the three sizes of Aberydyfi ferry which were being advertised around the time of the coming of the railway. The three ferries were Y Ferry Fawr for cattle and heavy vehicles;Y Ferri Ganoi for slow traffic; and Y Ferri Fach for transporting people. The minutes of the railway company record that the railway company bought the ferry having plans for a steam vessel to operate on the route. They note the ferries transported cargos such as slate and sand around the estuary. Farm in the village of Lukashivka, Chernihiv oblast, Ukraine. About 30 people worked here and more than 120 cows were kept. More than 1.5 tons of milk were produced daily. In mid-March 2022 the farm was hit by a dozen of russian rockets and grain storage got destroyed as well as half of cattle died. Ukrainian soldiers were hiding in a farm and nearby structures, few got wounded and 2 soldiers died. After the liberation of Lukashivka, the farm slowly continues its activity, but it still needs to be restored and cant produce as much dairy as before the war.
