Pirene or Peirene is the name of a fountain or spring in Greek mythology, physically located in Corinth. It was said to be a favored watering-hole of Pegasus, sacred to the Muses. Poets would travel there to drink and receive inspiration.

In the 2nd century CE the traveler Pausanias describes Pirene as follows:

On leaving the market-place along the road to Lechaeum you come to a gateway, on which are two gilded chariots, one carrying Phaethon the son of Helius, the other Helius himself. A little farther away from the gateway, on the right as you go in, is a bronze Heracles.

Ellora is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the Aurangabad district of Maharashtra, India. It is one of the largest rock-cut monastery-temple cave complexes in the world, featuring Hindu, Buddhist and Jain monuments, and artwork, dating from the 600–1000 CE period.Cave 16, in particular, features the largest single monolithic rock excavation in the world, the Kailasha temple, a chariot shaped monument dedicated to Lord Shiva. The Kailasha temple excavation also features sculptures depicting the gods, goddesses and mythologies found in Vaishnavism, Shaktism as well as relief panels summarizing the two major Hindu Epics.

There are over 100 caves at the site, all excavated from the basalt cliffs in the Charanandri HillsAll of the Ellora monuments were built during Hindu dynasties such as the Rashtrakuta dynasty, which constructed part of the Hindu and Buddhist caves, and the Yadava dynasty, which constructed a number of the Jain caves.

The name of the Chariot of Arjuna was Kapi Dhwaja. It was donated by Agni (the fire-god) to Arjuna, and could conquer all directions, wherever it was drawn through out the three worlds. Arjuna's chariot name was ' Nandi Ghosh' and The flag was called 'Kapi dhvaja' which has 'lord Hanuman' figure on it.

The large bronze sculpture from 1899/1900 is by Arthur Strasser, who created his work for the Paris World's Fair in 1900. It shows the Roman general and politician Marcus Antonius, comfortably reclined in a triumphal chariot. Antonius is dressed in a tunic and has a toga lying across his body. The chariot is pulled by a team of lions consisting of a male lion in the center and two lionesses. Next to the chariot is a led lioness, who nestles against the chariot with her eyes closed. During a bombing of Vienna on February 7, 1945, it was pierced by bomb fragments and restored in 1956.

Tall Ziraʿa is an archaeological mound in northern Jordan, continuously inhabited for about 5,000 years. Its rich layers reveal ancient settlements, architecture, and artifacts, highlighting its role as a key regional center over millennia.

# Description:
> Yoke finial (4174 / TZ 010950-001) made of alabaster, dating to Iron Age II. It is a fragment of a round pommel with a smoothly polished top surface and a centric drill hole, round in cross-section, with a deep circular groove in the middle. The top side has a central round hole, while the bottom side features a rectangular hole. The object belongs to chariot equipment and measures 3.7 cm in height with a maximum diameter of 2.5 cm.

**Methodology:** Scanned by GDH in July 2025 using Canon R5. Processed in RealityCapture.
