Les maisons anciennes des XVe et XVIIIe siècles, ainsi que quartiers et rues pittoresques : les maisons à pans de bois de l'ancien fort entourent l'église sur l'emplacement de l'ancien château dans un dédale de ruelles serrées.

Hohenzollern Castle is the ancestral seat of the imperial House of Hohenzollern. The third of three hilltop castles built on the site, it is located atop Mount Hohenzollern, above and south of Hechingen, on the edge of the Swabian Jura of central Baden-Württemberg, Germany.
The first castle on the mountain was constructed in the early 11th century.

Hohenzollern Castle

Entrée du château de Blois. Elle est construite par Louis XII (fin XVème) et s'accole aux bâtiments plus anciens. On reconnait la marque Louis XII avec la présence de briques et les ornements en pierre de tuffeau. Il est représenté en cavalier et son emblème le porc-épic est présent à différents endroits de la façade.

Château De Bonaguil

Fénis Castle (Italian: Castello di Fénis, French: Château de Fénis) is an Italian medieval castle located in the town of Fénis. It is one of the most famous castles in Aosta Valley, and for its architecture and its many towers and battlemented walls has become one of the major tourist attractions of the region.
The castle first appears in a document in 1242 as a property of the Viscounts of Aosta, the Challant family. At that time it probably was a simple keep surrounded by walls. From 1320 to 1420, under the lordship of Aymon of Challant and of his son Boniface I of Challant, the castle was expanded to the actual appearance.

Au Moyen-Age, la forteresse était composée d'une tour de défense à l'ouest, d'une tour d'escalier au sud et d'un logis à l'est complétée au XVIe par une nouvelle tour de défense.
La période 2015/2023 marque le 500ième anniversaire de la première restauration de cette forteresse édifiée au XIVe siècle.
Autour de la forteresse plusieurs constructions ont été conservées et les ruines de l’ancien village ont servi de base à l’édification d’une ferme modèle au XIXe siècle.

Suite aux intempéries, les couches de calcaire de cette pierre à sabot de la route de St-Cergue se délitaient. Par mesure de conservation, la face gravée a été retirée avant 1959 et présentée au Château puis stockée au Centre des Collections de Nyon.

Inscription : LA LOI DEFEND D'ENRAYER SANS GARDEROUE ET DE MENER DES BOIS EN TRAINE 1812  (les charretiers de l'époque ne savaient pas tous lire, ainsi la forme d'une roue sur un sabot est également gravée)
