Tram roller coaster

I really wanted to create an animated scene with blender and share it on sketchfab. So finally I did it! Here is a rollercoaster themed diorama with some animated elements. I learned a lot during the creation process and I hope you like the result. :)

Sketchfab does not yet import the GLB camera animations. As a workaround, this model keeps the camera fixed and instead moves and rotates the whole world.

IMPORTANT: adjusting the camera position/rotation will ruin the trick so do NOT click and drag with your mouse.

Clearly lighting goes wrong, it's not possible to have shadows on the ground and the background picture does not make sense but it still looks pretty cool and gives a nice demo of the power of camera animation.

BluffTitler 16.6.0.6 features a FAKE CAMERA checkbox in the FILE > EXPORT AS MODEL... dialog to automate this camera trick:

The ride features 2 clothoid loops, a cobra roll, a batwing, a corkscrew, a hammerhead turn and a top hat.

Looking forward to the fine day Sketchfab makes this model pointless by supporting GLB camera animations!

It features 2 clothoid loops, a cobra roll, a batwing, a corkscrew, a hammerhead turn, a top hat and a dive loop.

This one is easier to use in your own projects by attaching your own model to the bot node. It also uses physics and loops perfectly!

Bot riding a roller coaster

A old, fully 3d builder version of the Bolliger & Mabillard Winged roller coaster train. The winged designation comes from the appearance of having wings due to the extended seating arangements hanging from each side of the coaster.

A similar type of seating with full rotation provided by Arrow/Morgan is X-2 a 4D RollerCoaster. The most commonly known Bolliger and Mabillard Winged roller coaster (to my knowledge) is Gatekeeper at Cedar point.

The inverted roller coaster which I have also modeled & posted represents the trains of another Bolligern and Mabillard train style.

B&M winged coaster train

Well it sure is a hangar for like... planes and stuff, horses even, maybe not actually, but you COULD fit many horses in it, but it's not made for that.
This is my first actually textured model, i drew the textures myself and did the UVs too (it was a rollercoaster learning that). Free to use and credit me.
