A handpainted 3d background I made a while ago. Did not use it in the end so feel free to use it guys.

You can download it and use it as background on sketchfab for your models, or use it in a student project or game.

Fantasy Sky Background

Horse sculpt for fun. Posed liked "Secretarian" statue.
Flowmap used for handpainted fur.
Mane and tail sculpted for sketchfab exclusively (and pretty roughly). "Real" Horse has xgen-created hair.

Hope still remains as long as the Last Stronghold prevails. Handpainted, animated scene made in Blender (in two weeks). It depicts an ancient Chinese gate combined with steampunk vibes and magical floating rocks. This strange theme and its style I delevoped in about a year.

Turns out it’s not that hard to achieve an authentic handpainted look. I’ve done a ton of researching and studying, and I’ve found a style that seems to really work when creating 3d ghibli-style scenes using Substance Painter. These techniques can be applied to basically any project. I’m really looking forward to improving the process later on this month. This is going to be an ongoing series where I explore different texturing techniques you can use to achieve an anime aesthetic, so make sure to sign up before the price goes up!
