White Tiger (RIGGED ANIMATED)

This is a 3D animation ("Shelly") of a near-adult loggerhead (ID=982.000406129037) sea turtle (*Caretta caretta*, straight carapace length=86 cm) that was initially captured on June 23, 2017 by the Inwater Research Group, and then photgraphed with the Beastcam technology with 20 Canon G16 cameras.  Photographer Christine Shepard operated the cameras and the sea turtle was released that same day in good condition.  The 3D model was initially created through a photogrammetry scan using Capturing Reality.

Animator Johnson Martin  used Blender to reconstruct the full sea turtle from these scans, as well as animate the movements. Jeanette Wyneken from Florida Atlantic University, and Charles Mairne from the Loggerhead MarineLife Center each provided feedback on the movements.

Model 47A - Loggerhead Sea Turtle

This is an animation (“Mar”) of a hatchling Hawksbill (ID Ei1801) sea turtle (*Eretmochelys imbricata*, straight carapace length 11.8 cm) that was initially rescued by the Loggerhead MarineLife Center, and then photographed with the Beastcam technology with 30 Canon G16 cameras. The sea turtle was released soon after in good condition. The 3D model was initially created through a photogrammetry scan using Capturing Reality.

Model 50A - Hawksbill Sea Turtle

This model clearly exhibits an untextured mesh of a human anotimcal skeleton. This includes the spine, head, arms, legs and all other bones of the human body. Also in the file, is an armature rig that moves all body parts. 

The rig can be accessed by moving into 'pose mode' and roating or moving the desired armature bone. This will result in corrresponding movement with the bone, allowing it o be very useful for animation.

The bone is quite low-poly, posessing a minimum face and vertex count. 
Soon, a textured rendition of this mode will be made abvailable for sale, selling along with an unrigged skeleton head mesh.

Skeleton Rig

This model displays a multitude of rigged and textured hand meshes in various hand positions. All parts of the hand mesh are rigged, and therefore able to be animated. 

The rig can be utilised by moving into the 'pose mode', and rotating the desired armature bone. This rotation will correspond to the movement of the part of finger. 
As the fingers have bones attributed to the phalange (phalanx), this makes it very useful for both simple, and complex animations.

The individual hand models are quite high-poly, possesing 70,000 faces, though, as demonstarted on one of the hand models, can be transformed to a low poly model with 5,000 faces using the unsubdivide modifier to a scale of five.

The textures are fully procedural and made by nodes within blender.

More support, will correspondingly lead to more free models, so if this one is enjoyed, and ‘liked’, there will be more free ones to come.

Richard's Art Gallery - Audio Tour

This is a 3D animation ("Scallywag") of a juvenile green sea turtle (ID=CM1648) (*Chelonia mydas*) that was captured on December 23, 2016 by the Loggerhead MarineLife Center at Blowing Rocks Preserve.  The turtle was attacked by a shark, but survived.  It was photographed with the Beastcam technology with 20 Canon G16 cameras by Christine Shepard.

The 3D model was initially created through a photogrammetry scan using Capturing Reality.  Animator Jer Bot used Blender to reconstruct the full sea turtle from these scans, as well as animate the movements. Model 46A - Subadult Green Sea Turtle

3D Scan of Godzilla toy from NECA, based on Legendary Pictures' 2019 *Godzilla: King of the Monsters* and part of the Monsterverse.

5/21/2020: Re-Uploaded with updated Texture.

3D scanned in color with the Artec Space Spider 3D scanner. Total time spent 3D scanning: 5 minutes. After scanning in initial position standing upright on turntable, the figure was flipped on its left and right sides to capture under the tail and feet. 

Total time processing in Artec Studio software: about 3 hours. This articulated figure was rigid during flipping, however the tail segments moved slightly. In order to preserve this detail and fix the movement in post, the raw data was duplicated and individual tail segments were isolated so they could independelty be repositioned relative to the initial upright scan.

Emperor Angelfish (Update v2)

This is an animation of an subadult Atlantic Sturgeon.

This 3D model is a composite of images from a subadult Atlantic Sturgeon  (Acipenser oxyrhynchus oxyrhynchus) housed at the Maymont Nature Center (https://maymont.org/animals/nature-center/), and a scan from a preserved Atlantic Sturgeon from the Natural History Collection at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst (https://bcrc.bio.umass.edu/nhc/home).

CG artists Jer Bot, Johnson Martin and Robert Gutierrez used Blender to reconstruct the full fish from these scans and images, as well as animate the movements. Model 66A - Atlantic Sturgeon

After The God Particle...

Going on with some tests for the animation of an underwater scene, this time playing with particle system and forces in blender (with which I am not very familiar). 

The particle system I used to create this shoal of fish is set with a simple fish model (same as [Abstract aquarium](https://skfb.ly/6ypzL)) as render object. 

The fish particle system was set to a "**Boids**" physics, and tweaking parameters gave the unique fish a smooth movement. A **vortex force field** was then added to the scene to create the swirling motion on the particles. I also added a collision domain (as a cube) to make sure that no fish went outside of a specified volume, but it proved unnecessary...

I still have to figure out how to properly export keyframed animations to a fbx file, as the only file I managed to obtain was a 120MB one (for a < 100 tris fish model). A python script which has helped me is [here](https://blender.stackexchange.com/a/7142), but it does not pass the export phase very well...

Eric Rigged 001 - Rigged 3D Business Man

[Camera Limits](https://help.sketchfab.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003399103-Camera-Limits) constrain the movement of the camera around a model or scene. In this Van Gogh Room, Camera Limits are used to hide the missing parts of the model to the viewer, making the experience more immersive. This is a 3D model  of a racer snake (Dolichophis jugularis) scanned using the Beastcam MACRO on a live snake in Cyprus. The mass of the snake is 479 grams. CG artist Jer Bot retopologized and reconstructed the snake in the open source 3D animation software Blender (blender.org). He did this through images captured using an array of six Canon G16 cameras and other reference photos. The construction of this model is part of the post-doc research of Dr. Savvas Zotos (POST-DOC/0916/0034) (https://retrack.terracypria.org) and is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund and the Republic of Cyprus through the Research and Innovation Foundation. This 3D model will be used as a means for both studying and presenting the species movement and behavioural patterns.

Model 60A - Cyprus Racer Snake

This model was made for a college assignement in which a product had to be developed that could benefit people. I chose to create this arm as I belived it to be a feasable piece of technology that could realistically be developed in the near future. Initial ideas such as teleporters and hoover boots were considered to be too unrealsitic. Inspiration for this model came from YouTube and Instagram accounts featuring similar 3D work along with informative videos on the use and function of exisitng prosthetic arms. I wanted to create an arm that maintained the familair human form of an arm with full motions such as an adjustable elbow and five finger movements.

The rig is diverse, and allows intricate control for each of the horse's attributes, this includes the spine, head, arms, legs, tail, as well as intermediate joints of those areas, and other bones. Found in the file, is an 'armature', this is the object responsible for all of the horse's movements, allowing the model to qualify for usage in animation.

The mesh is quite low poly, possessing 5,000 faces, though, with the subdivision surface modifier, the face count is increased.

German Shepherd VRChat Ready

This tier 2 re-education camp in Kashgar's Yenhisheher (Shule) county was constructed following the 2017 crackdown in Xinjiang. It regularly expanded throughout 2017 and 2018. It has been slightly desecuritised throughout 2019, and no longer has as extensive internal barriers to movement. It is co-located with another re-education camp and a prison.

Yengisheher #7 - Tier 2 Re-education Camp

It's been a while! Here is a model based off the anicent apex predator of the sea, the Pliosaur. It was inspired by the recent discovery of a six foot long pliosaur skull found in the Dorset Cliffs. 

During a documentary with David Attenborough, the Pliosaur's movement is described as being closest to that of a penguins, so I thought I would try and push that motif a bit more.

This is a 3D model of a **Sling tailed Agama lizard** (*Stellagama stellio cypriaca*) scanned using the Beastcam MACRO on a live lizard in Cyprus. The mass of the lizard is 78 grams. CG artist **Jer Bot** retopologized and reconstructed the snake in the open source 3D animation software Blender (blender.org). He did this through images captured using an array of six Canon G16 cameras and other reference photos.
