This is for the MasterpieceVR “Imagine And Create A Sustainable Future” competition.
This biomechanical creature is a Zonnedrucker G9 of the early kingdom biotronican. Zonnedruckers are mammoth 3d printers mostly used for printing [energy farming units](https://skfb.ly/6yUUt). They are capable of printing 1 sq. km. of energy farming equipment a month. They can operate fully autonomously over long periods of time. They can source most materials for printing on site and are capable of elemental conversion if resources are limited. They can be powered by the energy farming units they produce after a month of operation, but a buffer of 200,000 megawatts is required for startup. Their printing heads are composed of primarily ultra high density biological muscle tissue which is self repairing and highly precise.

Zonnedrucker (Biotronican Solar Farm Printer)

Skull and neck of an adult green iguana (_Iguana iguana_, OUVC 10677), with annotations of some of the more obscure anatomical features. It was collected legally and euthanized humanely by Zoo Miami staff and provided to us for research and education. We scanned the head region on the OUµCT scanner in 2012 at a resolution of 90µm (0.090 mm). Scan data were imported into workstations running Avizo and digitally extracted the bones and soft tissues. The work on this project was done primarily by Alexandra Spaw, who at the time was an undergraduate student in Ohio University's Honors Tutorial College and now is a medical student at Ohio State University. Green Iguana skull - OUVC 10677

Skull of a young alligator (Alligator mississippiensis, OUVC 10389) with annotations of some of the blood vessels. It was legally provided to us by the Rockefeller Wildlife Refuge for research and education. We scanned the head region on the OUµCT scanner at a resolution of 90µm (0.090 mm). Scan data were imported into workstations running Avizo and digitally extracted the bones and soft tissues. This specimen was used by David Dufeau during his dissertation research and then was used by Ruger Porter during his dissertation research on dinosaur blood vessels and their role in thermal physiology. This specimen was part of the sample included in the PLOS ONE article by Dufeau and Witmer (http://bit.ly/2dWhTNZ) and a Journal of Anatomy article by Porter, Sedlmayr, & Witmer (http://bit.ly/2e0WqVg). The original CT scan data can be downloaded on Dryad (http://bit.ly/2ebdnZS), along with a 3D PDF that provides comparable content to what’s here but allows more control. The Void Chelicerate is a subspecies of the striking red Chelicerate in other biomes of Sector Zero of 4546B. This subspecies has gotten much larger, more aggressive, and other changes. One of these changes is how the Void Chelicerate has these orange eyes and a pale white carapace, with patches of what seem to be scars, infected tissue, or something else of the sort. The mandibles are also more green than black, and the transparent fins are also light blue. They can be found in the Void that surrounds the entierity of Sector Zero, like the one at The Crater.

Transposition of the great arteries (TGA) occurs when the two main arteries are blood vessels leaving the heart or reversed and there is a hole in the wall between the right and left ventricle called a ventricular septal defect (VSD). The pulmonary artery arises from the left ventricle (instead of the right), sending oxygen-rich blood back to the lungs. The aorta arises from the right ventricle (instead of the left), sending oxygen-poor blood back to the body. This misrouting stops oxygen from being delivered to the body’s tissues and organs and can be life-threatening. The VSD can allow the for the deoxygenated and oxygenated blood to mix. Babies can look blue, especially around the lips and nails. They can have a fast heart rate, fast breathing, and poor feeding.

An ultrasound probe (or transducer) is the essential component of an ultrasound machine. It emits high-frequency sound waves and receives their echoes to create real-time images of internal tissues. The model is made with the scanner PlantEye. [PlantEye](https://phenospex.com/products/plant-phenotyping/planteye-f500-multispectral-3d-laser-scanner) is developed to measure plants in all lighting and environmental conditions. It scans in labs or entire fields and uses the 3D model to calculate plant parameters like height, growth, biomass.  It simultainiously scans the plant in RGB and near infrared wavelengths to measure plant coloring and plant health.

It is then pumped into the pulmonary artery, towards the lungs. In the lungs, oxygen is bound to the blood; it becomes oxygen-rich. Subsequently, the oxygen-rich blood enters the left atrium. Passing the Mitral valve, the blood enters the left ventricle. The left ventricle pumps the blood into the aorta, upon which it travels to all the organs and tissues in the body, providing them from oxygen. Once it has done so, it travels back to the right atrium.
