This project is an experiment in stylized art and animation created in Blender, inspired by an illustration by Alexandre Zedig Diboine.

Snaque are wingless birds that have chosen a cozy refuge beneath the kitchen tiles. Living hidden from the human world, they possess a unique ability to sense vibrations and sounds. The moment even the tiniest crumb hits the floor, they emerge from their shelter and rush toward the source.

Emperor Scorpions (*Pandinus imperator*) are among the largest and most iconic scorpions in the world. Native to West Africa, they can grow up to 8 inches long and are known for their glossy black exoskeleton and powerful pincers. Despite their intimidating appearance, emperor scorpions are relatively docile and use their pincers more than their mild venom to subdue prey.

They thrive in humid environments like tropical forests and burrows, feeding on insects, spiders, and small vertebrates. Their nocturnal habits and sensitivity to vibrations make them stealthy hunters. In captivity, they’re popular among enthusiasts due to their manageable temperament and striking look.

While their sting is comparable to a bee’s, emperor scorpions play a vital ecological role and are studied for their fluorescent properties under UV light. Their blend of size, strength, and gentleness makes them a fascinating ambassador of the Scorpiones order.

LOKA 06 (Tapa) is a 360° spherical manifold exploring the "frozen music" of sacred architecture. 

This object maps the acoustic resonance residuals of the 56 Musical Pillars of the Vitthala Temple (Hampi) onto a high-resolution sphere via the PAPP pipeline.

Representing Tapo-loka (the plane of austerity and meditation), the geometry is generated by translating harmonic JI intervals into topological peaks. 

The relief follows a dual Lambert projection, creating a seamless 2-manifold that bridges 4D vibrational theory with 3D form.

The phonograph is a device for the mechanical recording and reproduction of sound. In its later forms, it is also called a gramophone (as a trademark since 1887, as a generic name in the UK since 1910) or, since the 1940s, a record player. The sound vibration waveforms are recorded as corresponding physical deviations of a spiral groove engraved, etched, incised, or impressed into the surface of a rotating cylinder or disc, called a "record". To recreate the sound, the surface is similarly rotated while a playback stylus traces the groove and is therefore vibrated by it, very faintly reproducing the recorded sound. In early acoustic phonographs, the stylus vibrated a diaphragm which produced sound waves which were coupled to the open air through a flaring horn, or directly to the listener's ears through stethoscope-type earphones.

Old Gramophone

Drum of the type known as a “tun”, carved from chicozapote wood. Its form consists of the body, arms, and legs of a figure, although the details of the facial features are no longer discernible due to wear. The drum is hollow and features a tongue on the front, which produced sound through its vibration. Based on the condition of the wood, it is likely that the piece was found in contact with water, possibly in a cave context. Some indigenist scholars also refer to this type as a “hand tun.” A Maya musician considers that, being handheld, it may have accompanied dancers and associated its sound with the beating of the heart.
