A wooden masterpiece from the Kamakura period (13th century) and a designated National Treasure, the figure is majestically portrayed: wearing an intricately carved dragon-head crown, adorned with detailed armor, holding a sword in its right hand and grasping a coiled white dragon in its left, standing firmly on a rock base. The dignified posture and the deep metallic texture with subtle patina on the armor exemplify the peak of Kamakura-period Buddhist sculpture, masterfully blending divine majesty with superb realism.
