This is an animation of subadult male Whale Shark (Individual TZ 209, "Mosi" Rhincodon typus) that was reconstructed from gopro footage based on dives with the shark nearby Mafia Island, Tanzania in November 2022. We thank Chris Rohner and Stephanie Venables for diving with us, and for providing footage and for generally supporting the work.

CG artists Johnson Martin and Aaron Olsen used the software Blender to align various gopro camera views to reconstruc thte body shape of this individual.  "Mosi" has been filmed previously along the Mafia coastline and is well known to divers there.

Note the twisting of the cephalic fins, which are used during feeding. Skye was filmed primarily while swimming off the coast of Palm beach, Florida.  Jessica Pate and her team with the Marine Megafauna Foundation (www.marinemegafauna.org) were instrumental for filming Skye and providing access to other data on Manta Rays. Moscow Ermolaevsky lane 28 Shehtel maison 1896

This model was created from 1382 aligned image taken with a GoPro Hero 9 camera, generated in Metashape Agisoft at low resolution. The site is likely to be the remains of a wooden fishing vessel broken up insitu, with a great deal of the useful timbers and fittings removed from the site. The remains lie hard up against a low cliff and are associated with two large wooden pillar moorings. The fishing industry in Milford Haven has a rich history. Many drifters and trawlers were taken into Admiralty use during both World Wars. They were used for minesweeping, anti-submarine boom vessels, and for patrol activities. The remains are too fragmented to say for certain that the vessel belongs to these wartime periods, but further research may eventually shed light on the vessel's identity and history. Fishing continues to play a significant role in the local economy.

Scattered Remains of Wreck at Sandy Haven

This model was generated from 93 images taken with GoPro Hero Black 9 camera using Agisoft Metashape at high resolution. The name of the vessel is presently unknown, but it is believed to be the remains of one of the many small oyster skiffs that once worked around Swansea Bay. Indeed, during the peak of the industry between 1850-1873, over 1 million oysters were being landed per year at the Mumbles. Oyster skiffs were a small specialised sailing craft, typically measuring between 37-40ft (11.2-12.1m) in length, with a keel of about 31ft (9.5m). The remains comprise a keel, large metal fastenings and a few frames on the port side and match these dimensions. The beach sediment transport direction is south-westward towards Mumbles Head. This was evident on repeat visits, with a build up of largely windblown sand on the northern side of the wreck. Otherwise, the beach sediment levels are reported to be staple. GoPro HERO 11 Mini

This mount is optimized for Samsung A-series phones, but it can securely clamp many other phones as well. The clamp is designed thicker because it is intended to be used with a phone case.

The clamp base STL is recommended to be printed in PETG, as it is the most mechanically stressed 3D-printed part of the assembly.
