An 18th century bronze statue believed to be of the Roman Emperor Trajan (mistakenly referred to as Julius Ceasar by several excited tourists who stopped for a selfie opportunity, and did not read the plaque).  it is situated next to a section of the London Wall near of the Tower Hill underground station. 

Better photography focussing on the whole right arm and left hand would most likely have produced a better end result.


Model was created from 269 photos (probably could of taken more) shot with a Nikon D5300 (using a 18-55mm kit lens) and aligned on High in Agisoft (using medium level dense cloud).

London Bridge Nancy Steps

A ( London Bridge to Greenwich) railway bridge over Abbey Street, London.

From the blue plaque: "BERMONDSEY ABBEY STREET BRIDGE. Designed by Colonel George Thomas Landmann, Royal Engineers (1780 - 1854).
The bridge is Grade II listed, and the central part was completed in 1836 for the London & Greenwich Railway, London's first railway line."

Abbey Street Railway Bridge

Angel

This is a modular enviroment scene that was created for my second assessment at AIE where we needed to create six+ objects to build a modular scene and texture it. I tried to achieve a wow/diablo feel to my scene in a PBR workflow.

Here is the desciption I wrote for the scene at the begining of the saaseesment:

An old and forgotten crypt, a shaft of moonlight coming from a hole in the ceiling falls upon a large stone coffin at the back of the room up a small set of stairs. The coffin has a banner lying on top of it as if marking a hero or a king, down the stairs is a larger room with a carpets running across the room. On some of the walls there is a arched inset with a candles and a plaque with some writing on it that cant be read correctly due to age and erosion. There is also banners placed around the room with a emblem on it perhaps representing a family or clan.

Located on Wickham Rock Lane south of Winchelsea, East Sussex, England.

From the plaque: "The New Gate was built in the 13th Century and was the only entry into the town by land. It was through this gate that the French are said to have gained entry in 1380, perhaps by treachery. This was probably the most serious of their incursions into Winchelsea. Under the Admiral of France, Jean de Vienne, they not only sacked this town but also are said to have burnt Hastings, Appledore, Rye and Portsmouth. The House of Commons petitioned the King for some remedy 'because if those towns (Rye and Winchelsea) were taken, which God forbid, the whole country would be destroyed'."

Winchelsea New Gate

Plaque from the 16th century with the depiction of the Dance of Death. The plaque cast in silver has 2 fastening pins on the back. 21x4 cm.

Between 1410 and 1425, a mural with originally 30 and today still 24 dancing couples was created in the abbey of La Chaise-Dieu. The Dance of Death is the representation of the influence and power of death that emerged in the 14th century. Death dances with everyone, whether king, knight, maid, clergyman or child.

"On the second lintel from Structure 23 at Yaxchilan, the sacrificial offering of blood conjures up a visionary manifestation of Yat-Balam, founding ancestor of the dynasty of Yaxchilan. In the guise of a warrior grasping a spear and shield, this ancestral spirit emerges from the gaping front jaws of a huge double-headed serpent rearing above Lady Xoc. She gazes upward at the apparition she has brought forth. In her left hand she bears a blood-letting bowl containing instruments of sacrifice, a sting-ray spine and an obsidian lancet."

Gothic Cloaked Figure - Building Wall Statue

Anthropomorphic whistle in the shape of a standing Maya warrior. The posture suggests a firm stance of authority or readiness for combat. He wears a loincloth with a decorated belt and an elaborate turban composed of elements evoking textiles, crowned by a feline mask or face at the top. The arms and shoulders are adorned with ribbons and ropes. Across the chest, he wears a necklace with plaques, followed by another necklace made of large rings from which a trophy head appears to hang. The head is suspended upside down, resembling a ceremonial pectoral, and from it hang four long fringed ribbons that may artistically represent the victim’s hair. The hollow structure of the piece and the blowing mouthpiece located on the back indicate its sound-producing function.

Imperial Eagle Architectural Ornament

The chapel on Kőszeg Calvary, built in 1715, is the earliest solid religious building in this location and was constructed even before the present Calvary Church. It was built next to the wooden cross erected in 1686 and is associated with the intense religious practice that followed the plague of 1712, which prompted numerous vows and donations. No builder by name is known; the construction is generally attributed to the Jesuit community, which had a spiritual influence on Calvary and later also initiated the construction of the church.

The small, single-nave Baroque chapel has a rectangular floor plan, white plastered walls, and a steep tiled gable roof with a slender ridge turret and cross. Above the portal is a plaque bearing the date 1715. The entrance is accessed via a short staircase with side balustrades and is flanked by two small Baroque figures; a side window provides sparse light. According to local tradition, the chapel is dedicated to St. Donatus.
