A purse or pouch (from Latin bursa, which in turn comes from the Greek βρρσα, býrsa, oxhide), Sometimes called a coin purse for clarity, is a small money bag or pouch made for carrying coins.
In the XV century, purses were worn by both men and women. They were often finely embroidered or decorated with gold. In addition, men usually gave their new brides purses embroidered with an illustration of a love story.

A painted wooden chest in a Skawina style. Painting techniques and ornamentation types were passed on from generation to generation. Sometimes, carpenters were not the creators of the painting decorations but their wives or daughters.

The dowry chest was an element of traditional equipment of a bride which she brought to a new household. They were usually placed opposite the entrance, in a visible place. A large painted chest was something to be proud of. After some time, they were moved to a less visible place.

3D model of a ‘bride-price’ made out of a cone shell, that is part of the Uetz collection. 

Karl Uetz (1914–1998) was a private collector and owner of a large mollusc collection. In addition to thousands of snail and mussel shells, the collection also contains approximately 200 art and everyday objects as well as ethnographic objects. The collection was purchased by the NHM in 1974 and digitised in 2025.

She lived in the Asylum (still wearing her wedding dress) until she went to the roof during a thunderstorm and was hit by lightning, falling to her death. She is filled with a mad desire for vengeance against womanising men.

In game: Brigit is a Banshee encountered in Phantom of the Operating Room. She is bound to a set of flowers on a slab located in the morgue of the Gravenville General hospital.

Brigit will become free after she fulfills her role of Nemesis and exerts her punishment on an unfaithful man. Dr. Seth Greenwood is an ideal candidate for this, due to him flirting with multiple nurses in the hospital. However, Greenwood won't go to the basement under any circumstances while the nurses he flirts with are still present, and even with the use of powers like Fool's Errand, he will only stand at the entrance of the room briefly before leaving.
