This is a 3D model ("Mary") of an adult (curved carapace length 940 mm) female flatback sea turtle (Natator depressus, PIT tag 900119000520197, captured 11/21/17, Thevenard Island, Western Australia) as part of the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions' North West Shelf Flatback Turtle Conservation Program (DBCA-NWSFTCP) with Scott Whiting (DBCA), Sabrina Fossette (DBCA) and Adrian Gleiss (Murdoch University). The turtle was photographed on a nesting beach using the Beastcam system and released in good condition. The 3D model was created through a photogrammetry scan using COLMAP and Autodesk REMAKE. Animator Jer Bot used Blender to reconstruct the sea turtle. Credit should be given to the Digital Life project and NWSFTCP: “The author(s) acknowledge the Digital Life project and the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions’ North West Shelf Flatback Turtle Conservation Program for creation of the 3D flatback turtle model”.

However, the existence of up to nine extant giraffe species has been described, based upon research into the mitochondrial and nuclear DNA, as well as morphological measurements of Giraffa. Seven other prehistoric species, known from fossils, are extinct.

The giraffe has intrigued various cultures, both ancient and modern, for its peculiar appearance, and has often been featured in paintings, books, and cartoons. It is classified by the International Union for Conservation of Nature as vulnerable to extinction, and has been extirpated from many parts of its former range.

Pyjama Shark Free

The Mill of Benholm is a water-powered Category A (Grade I) listed historic Mill in a beautiful and peaceful setting of the historic Mill site with adjacent registered ancient Woodland the Mill Brae Woods.

The ‘Mill of Benholm Enterprise (SCIO)’ is the charity safeguarding the Mill of Benholm for generations to come by using the site sustainable as a community hub and community garden, but also developing the Mill into a visitor attraction.

Situated within the conservation area of Benholm near the coastal village of Johnshaven, Aberdeenshire. A restoration of the Mill was completed in 1995. 

The mill buildings are not only Category A listed, but also described by Historic Environment Scotland as ‘an exceptional and rare survival’.

The Mill of Benholm comprises of the mill with the waterwheel and kiln, the former miller’s house and byre, a mill pond all in a beautiful and peaceful setting with approx. 7 acres of land, orchards and gardens and a cafe.

La scultura, proveniente dalla necropoli di Deir el-Medina (Egitto, XIX dinastia), è stata restaurata nel laboratorio di restauro del Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Firenze in collaborazione con La Haute Ecole Arc Conservation-restauration (HE-Arc CR) di Neuchâtel nell’ambito del tirocinio di laurea della studentessa Sofia Bovo.
L'opera di conservazione dell’opera e è stata anche un’importante occasione di studio eseguita in collaborazione con l’Istituto di Fisica Applicata “Nello Carrara”- Gruppo di Spettroscopia Applicata - SABeC CNR-IFAC: il manufatto, infatti, è un complesso polimaterico composto da terra cruda, tela di lino, carbonato di calcio e policromia a tempera.

Female statuette-vessel, modeled without a head. The silhouette is notable for the massiveness of the upper half of the body. The thin arms preserve the proportion of the vessel's handles. The palms, with the five fingers in a non-anatomical position, have been exaggerated in size to have a larger surface area for the base of the handles to grip the vessel's body. The incised decoration, consisting of concentric circles, triangles and other figurative elements arranged in the anatomical-functional parts of the human body, symbolizes fecundity, fertility and the practice of solar worship.
The statuette is unique among similar Neolithic pieces in Europe. For conservation reasons, the statuette is not exhibited in the museum's main exhibition, being in danger of destruction due to its fragility and age.

The statuette dates back to the Neolithic, Gumelnița culture, around 5000 BC.

Its employees collect livestock losses (sheep and goats) from farmers in the Verdon region. This arduous task is now easier thanks to the purchase of a specially adapted vehicle.

LPO_ Intervention-

The Mausoleum is category A listed and on the Buildings at Risk Register. It is located in Cluny Kirkyard in Aberdeenshire. It was designed by James Byers of Tonley (1734 – 1817) and is thought to be his only surviving building. After many years of trying the NESPT finally achieved ownership in 2018. The NESPT has worked closely with the Friends of the Elyza Fraser Mausoleum, an active and well supported community group, on the project.

The building was inspected and monitored by a Design Team led by a Conservation Accredited Architect over the course of nine years. The building had been letting in water for many years and the structure was saturated. Many of the internal memorials were badly affected by damp.

Portrait of the poet Mihai Eminescu, copy made at the Plastic Fund Plant in Bucharest between 1952-1960, after the original plaster made in 1927. Carefully made copy, it preserved the characteristics of the original work, even the signature with the artist's monogram was imitated. 
Frederic Storck was one of the rare artists who created portraits or monument projects dedicated to the great poet. The works, unfinished plaster models, are in a precarious state of conservation. This copy is notable because it contributed to saving a work of authorship, subject to the vicissitudes of time.
The bust is located at the Frederic Storck and Cecilia Cuțescu Storck Museum.

**Condition Report:**
This statue represents the "Critical Loss" stage of historical preservation. The figure, likely marking the grave of a child, has suffered catastrophic mechanical failure, losing both the head and right arm. The surface is heavily colonized by crustose lichen and moss, which are actively dissolving the stone surface (biological weathering).

**Project Relevance:**
The American Digital Heritage Project digitized this artifact to document the rate of biological erosion. Without digital intervention, the remaining inscription on the scroll base will likely become illegible within the next decade. This model preserves the current state of the object for future conservation study.

Suite aux intempéries, les couches de calcaire de cette pierre à sabot de la route de St-Cergue se délitaient. Par mesure de conservation, la face gravée a été retirée avant 1959 et présentée au Château puis stockée au Centre des Collections de Nyon.
