Wounded Amazon, Rome, 150 A.D., Marble

In Greek art, the Amazons, a mythical race of warrior women from Asia Minor, were often depicted battling such heroes as Herakles, Achilles, and Theseus. This statue represents a refugee from battle who has lost her weapons and bleeds from a wound under her right breast. Her chiton is unfastened at one shoulder and belted at the waist with a makeshift bit of bridle from her horse. Despite her plight, her face shows no sign of pain or fatigue. She leans lightly on a pillar at her left and rests her right arm gracefully on her head in a gesture often used to denote sleep or death. Such emotional restraint was characteristic of classical art of the second half of the fifth century B.C.

The Jin Chan (Chinese: 金蟾), also called Chan Chuy (Chinese: 蟾蜍) or "Zhaocai Chan Chu" (Chinese: 招财蟾蜍), is most commonly translated as "Money Toad" or "Money Frog". It represents a popular Feng Shui charm for prosperity. ~ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jin_Chan

This mythical creature is said to appear during the full moon, near houses or businesses that will soon receive good news (most of the time, the nature of this good news is understood to be wealth-related).

Snake Dragon

3D scan of a man that personifies quartz as a powerful mountain spirit rising directly from a cluster of sharp-edged crystal druses. In the tradition of romantic mythical figures such as Rübezahl, the bearded figure appears as an archaic guardian, inextricably linked to the mineral treasures of the underworld. 

The figure was created by Rudolf Weyr (1847-1914) and is part of the decorative program in Hall IV of the Natural History Museum.

Golden mythical bird statue

Scientists have officially classified the structure known as the “Elf House” as *Amanita habitus domesticus*, a rare symbiotic organism blending fungal biology with architectural function.
