Low poly hand grenade made in the style of PS1-era games. Pixelated textures, flat shading, chunky geometry — just like the old days.
Made in Blender. ~327 triangles.

OMG, this took much longer than expected! I spent a few days procrastinating on the UV Unwrapping, but I'm finally getting the hang of how seams work. I experimented with grain filters and pixelated blur in Paint.NET to achieve that retro PSX aesthetic I was looking for. I also used two separate materials: one for the head and another for the body/armor. I hope you like it!

P.S. The reference sheet was found on Pinterest. Also, feel free to modify or tweak the model as you see fit for your own projects!

Industrial Pipe Construction Kit (PSX Style)

*"Slightly improved version of the burst laser that fires more shots per charge."*

This is a model I made in Blockbench of my favorite weapon from the space roguelike game, FTL: Faster Than Light; The Burst Laser mark 2.
I tried to make the it look as accurate as I could to the game's pixelated art style and I think I did a pretty good job.

This model includes an animation of the weapon charging up and shooting everyone's favorite 3 projectile volley.

This project consists of a low-poly 3D model developed as a practical study, focusing on experimentation with pixelated rendering.

The objective was to meet the requirements of the assignment while exploring visual techniques and artistic decisions to create a stylized scene, also intended as portfolio material.

The project served as an exercise in composition, geometric simplicity, and visual style, balancing technical limitations with aesthetic identity.

This is my first 3D model made from scratch.
I was inspired by the PlayStation 1 aesthetic—low polygons, simple geometry, and textures with a distinctive pixelated grain.The door is made as a separate element with a small gap, like on a real microwave.
